    Thanks, I'll try to remove the Lester and see how the OEM GT fits then. The other trunk would need a repaint anyway.

    Here's a crappy pic of my car with the Lester btw, don't have any from the rear.

    Just buy one from Schmeidmann Danny! Order an extra set of risers for me while you are at it, since I don't see any OEM ones appearing anytime soon.

    I just spent a $$G on a surfboard... gotta chill with the spending for now

    Trying to sell my Jetta GLi in Florida, once I get rid of it, I'll treat myself to the wing and some splitter for the front.

    Haven't been on these forums in years but used to have the oem ltw on my 95 m3 .. are you not able to get the oem one anymore ?

    Really hard to find now. Only luck can be found with the oem gt wing few and far in between on ebay germany. Usually comes with cracked risers or none at all.

    How difficult is it to install the Abrahams wing? Mine has been at the shop painted and ready for install but they have been taking forever to schedule me in. I was thinking about picking it up tomorrow and attempting install myself before I leave for my track day.

    It was kind of a pain in the azz. You have to drill through two layers of sheet metal perfectly aligned then secure the base to the trunk with tape or betalink, then warp the top into place and snug it all down. That sounds more simple than it really is.

    Shit, I might just push it off and let them install it.

    I don't have all the parts for my front LTW splitter yet so it's probably not a good idea to track with it yet anyways.

    So I've made it thru about 9 pages of this.....

    I have a Ti - want a LTW wing. Which one fits - coupe or sedan? I'm going to assume sedan since most of the rest of the car is a sedan, but....

    Also - does anybody make taller risers? I'd LOVE to have the stock LTW wing twice as high, without having to shell out $850+ for the MA Shaw.

    Neither will fit a ti. the trunk is way too short to fit a non ti wing.

    Hi all

    Would anyone be able t help me with dimensions on the risers? LTW wings are pretty rare on SA cars ( at least where I am from) but I managed to snag a locally produced repro.
    The problem is that it is in the low configuration and I want to go with the high look on my sedan. Now importing a pair of risers is out of the question due to the incredibly weak Rand so I need to make my own.

    Specifically I am top and bottom profiles and the front and rear heights.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    They are not level so do not compare heights. I expect the Lester one to be more aligned when its properly assembled on a trunk.













    Here you can see the molding defects which are on all MA Shaw parts intended for functional race use



    The MA Shaw is by far the easiest to install. It uses 4 bolts on the outer edge allowing installation to be done with 4 simple holes. No dealing with the bs of going through two layers of metal.


    My Lester is unpainted but they both *feel* like about the same weight. MA Shaw is much more rigid and cannot be warped without some serious force. The Lester's base can easily be warped which is why most glue/tape it to the base of the trunk.

    Anyone have photos of rep risers on an OEM wing and how good/bad the fitment is?
    I'd like to try it out if its not going to look awful. OEM prices are like 4x what I paid for the wing.
