lmao garage door seal
I still haven't fitted my Lester spoiler. I find the quality of the bottom plate to be mediocre (both fit and finish) so I'm not sure if I want to drill my trunk lid for this spoiler or not. Not the easiest to find nice rust free lids here in Sweden if I regret it.
How hard are you supposed to have to push the bottom plate for it to follow the curve of the trunk lid? Also the shape of the plate's front edges differ a bit between left and right. Is it supposed to be sharp like the left one or more rounded like the right? I guess there's no choice other than try to round the sharper edge to a similar shape.

For those of you with the Abrahams spoiler, has anyone actually used the cables or have all of you just cut them off? The hole for the cable needs to be drilled in a stupid place near the edge of the trunk IMO. And I can't even see the cable being mentioned in the instructions? Is it more useful when using it with the risers perhaps (which I don't plan to)? I was thinking of perhaps adding some glue between the top and lower part to make it more secure.
Got the base plate to fit decently on the trunk anyways at last but I had to enlarge the front holes a bit as the threads in the top part seem to be inserted a bit crooked making two bolts miss the holes.
Here is a genuine M3 GT spoiler for sale in the UK btw http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-E36-M3...UAAOSwG-1WymFz

Is anyone selling their Mashaw or Abrahams wing?
Hey everyone, I happened to land a mint E36 4dr M3, and the first mod I wanted to do was the high rise. After doing tons of research and seeing the clusterfuck of oem part numbers, and not really being able to find an oem spoiler for my newly acquired ride, I looked into the Abrahams wing. However, after doing further research it appears that they just resell a wing from europe, same part number and everything. The site in question is schmiedmann.com, I have gone ahead and purchased this wing and gurney direct from their site for $460 shipped stateside via DHL. After receipt of the wing, I will report back my findings on quality. I figured it would not hurt to give this a shot.

Got around to painting and installing my real LTW Wing.

Quick question for anyone who installed their own Abrahams LTW wing? I recently got around to unboxing mine(2 PC low rise). Just setting the base plate on the trunk, there are gaps that don't follow the contour of it, I expected that. I applied some force and marked it up where I should drill my holes accordingly. However when I set the top piece on where my holes would be, they don't match, obviously because the base is now slightly changed shaped to match my trunk. Do I also need to flex the top half into shape and then bolt down? Anything make this process easier? I can post pictures if this doesn't explain it very well.

yea, having another person help will definitely make the installation easier. I basically flexed the base piece to line up with the shape of the trunk as you did and marked the holes. Ended up matching and closing the gap perfectly. After that I assembled the whole wing (with risers) and then mounted it onto the trunk. IIRC the riser holes didn't align perfectly, but as I torqued down the screws slowly, the wing started to bend and align itself. Definitely ALOT of tension in the wing, but I haven't had a problem with it since.
With my abrahams wing the holes were drilled in the wrong places on the risers. Totally different from side to side. While the shape of the wing was fine, if I fitted it I would have had to reshape the holes in the base or redrill the holes in the risers. Any competent body shop will deal with it how they need to appropriately. I'd imagine moving your holes slightly will be the best course of action. Hard to tell without pics. I never ended up installing mine though. It just wasn't a part I felt like it was worth drilling into my trunk for.
Abrahams was great in dealing with my issue though. With any body parts there is always going to be a variation in the occasional part along the way.

Update, I received the gt wing from schmiedmann.com and it does appear that they use the same manufacturer as abrahams motorsport. The packaging, appearance looks to be identical to the wings I have seen on threads related to their wings, down to the betalink adhesive provided in the kits. I have sent my wing off to paint after test fitting and ensuring everything was lining up properly. Should have the painted wing installed by the end of the week and will post pictures here.
