Does anyone know if there is such thing as a fitted car cover that works for an E36 with a wing of this size on it?
Probably the last shot with risers.
I trust the owner, too, which is why I believe I don't believe I "got got".
Isn't that a cute coincidence that two were painted and one was vinyl wrapped?
An easy way to know whether I was "making this up" would be to get on the phone and ask who he sold the CF ltw wing to..........
You have been gotten. Just search for FS threads here on bf.c and you'll find plenty...unless they're all the same one changing hands until the end of time.
He may not necessarily have lied, but he may have misled you after being misled himself by someone else.
Just hope you didn't overpay for the piece--how's the finish on it? I remember reading they're not quite show-worthy but are good replicas overall.
Your story is similar to my friends.
He called MAShaw years ago asking for a fiberglass ltw wing. The owner said that he lost his mold for the wing and only has carbon fiber wings left. So he sold him the CF wing for the price of a fiberglass one. It ended up being like $600-$700 iirc.
His has the same imperfections my fiberglass MAShaw wing has. Imperfect seams where the pieces meet. Tiny bubbling here and there.
