That would be the easiest route. I would suggest measuring the backlash and checking the contact pattern and taking a picture on the 3.45 before doing the lsd carrier swap. It is possible that you may have to adjust the side shims with the different carrier and doing the suggested checks will allow you to get things back as they should be.

Nice work...Question when I go e30 diff this year in my e21, can you add rebuild this one for me. I saw an OBDX part on ebay for the e30 diff, and I would like you to install that, it makes it a true LSD....
