Picture of Z3M factory fog lights?

Does anyone have a picture of the factory Z3 M fog lights? Mounted or unmounted, I'd like to see what they look like.

I did not know you could get factory Z3m foglights ?

AC schnitzer did two sets that were available though dealers (in the UK at least) ie either stand alone or with the Schnitzer front bumper but they are no longer available.

Here is a pic of the fog lights for standard bumper:

Here is a pic of a car with the schnitzer bumper and fog lights:

I have seen them before. Two little dots that connect to the top of the front bumper opening. OEM, not hamann or acs etc.

I would pay a finders fee if you can find me a set of these foglights!

I have been looking for years, and thats not an exaggeration.

Factory Fog lights are just tacked on. You have to cut holes in your grill to mount them. They have crinkle powder coated plates but they really look tacked on. They are HELLA fog lights. Only benefit to the kit is it includes the wiring harness, new headlight switch, and a fog light button for the dash behind the steering wheel. I would just buy the switch and make the rest myself if you really wanted them. However, most of us don't like the factory M lights because they are not even slightly integrated into the car.

Can you ask your friend the specs of the rear tires? I'm in the market for that wide look

I run 285s with no issues.

You can run 295s, my friend Gordon runs 315s.

However, the larger the rear tire in relation to the front tires, the more understeer you have.

The fronts are going to max out at 235s, generally any wider and you will rub the fender liners off the car.

Yeah, but I want to keep the stock roadstars I think 265 is the widest to go with them.

    My non M has 265 rears & 245 fronts

I have a used set of tires on the rears. I have been thinking about going to 275 maybe I can get better protection for the rims.

Thanks for the picture. It seems like it's a DIY project if you buy it from BMW or just buy a box with Hella fog lights in it.

Yeah, pretty much. M cars didn't come pre-wired for foglights.

The Hamann and ACS fog light kits involve taking a sawzall to the brake ducts though, so the factory kit is easier than that.

Here are the parts for the AC Schnitzer foglight kit ;-)

As you can see its comprehensive including wiring loom, switch, mounting brackets and new brake ducting for the smaller aperature

I bought an entire Hamann front bumper to "play" with including fog light kit for £80 ;-)

I don't like the centre splitter on these but thought I might "remodel" it and retain the foglights

Cool, I promise to look out for an AC Schnitzer foglight kit if you give me the Hamann kit (I will even pay for postage)

Seriously I even tried asking Schnitzer direct, they said no, I then asked if they could supply details of the original supplier, they said no

The holy grail = a new boxed set sitting on a dealer shelf coming up for sale ;-)

Re the rear splitters pictured above, these are very rare as they where discontinued by Schnitzer soon after they went on sale due to fitment issues (most of them did not fit properly and were returned).

Ps I am taking delivery of some genuine ACS splitters ready for my foglights

Ironically, I have a brand new boxed set of ACS splitters in the closet as well.

    You have no idea....

I have been heavily modifying my second Z3, and I haven't had to buy anything yet. I have all the parts in storage already. Its pretty shocking. I probably have more Z3 parts than BMP and BavAuto put together.

Here's a poor quality cell phone picture of the OEM kit (made by Hella), I added them to my 2.8. The original covers are black metal, they were painted to match.
