    Exclamation 2003 540i coolant light coming on

    no leaks,

    can this possibly be a coolant cap, the coolant level is high

    What I thought was no leak turned out to be the water pump bearing death throes. Feel around under pump shaft. I think leaking fluid is pretty well atomized by the fan.

    I didn't find it until the belt shredded. Luckily no other damage. I'm not usually so lucky.
