need help. Motor is do and reinstalled in engine bay but torque converter is pinned against flywheel. Shouldn't it be loose? any reason why? Thanks in advance.
If i understand you correctly.
The torque converter bolts up to the flex plate(flywheel) via 3 bolts accessible through a hole on the passenger side of the engine.
correct. When reinstalling the motor, before connecting the flywheel to the torque converter it is tight and converter wont spin.
U sure you dont have the transmission in P(park) The lever where the cable bolts up?
Not sure but will check. thank and i will get back shortly on this.
Alright
curious as to the result
If the TC is hitting the flex plate/flywheel before the gap between the engine/tranny is fully closed, then I'd suggest the TC isnt seated correctly. You need to turn it while pushing back it into the bellhousing.
