I can tell you there are none at hawkins point, jessup, or mt. airy. No e46s either. Lots of e34s, e32s, e36s though, a few e38s and e30s, and a couple e39s.
I am parting a 1998 M3 Sedan, silver/dove, auto. Interior is rough.
i need a alpine white hood for a 98 M3. anyone seen anything in decent condition around MD?
LKQ or Potomac German in Buckeystown (right outside of Frederick) has a Z4 in the yard right now. Not sure what year as I was there for a few Z3 parts, but I saw it parked there. They have a "recently" in yard, and a "been there a while" yard...it was in the first.
Can't speak to what is on it or what shape any parts are in.
Went to Crazy Ray's in Jessup this morning. A lot of picked over E30s, E34s, E36s, and E39s. Nothing much of use/value left on them.
Stopped at the Crazy Ray's off Hawkins Point road today before heading into work.
Only 1 E30 that I saw, a 4 door 87 325.
There was an E28 524td, 1-2 other 5 series, and an old 7 series.
A bunch of E36s. There was one 92 325i with what looked like a pretty intact engine if anyone is looking for a non-VANOS M50.
never been to a junk yard. is it a complete crap shoot or can you get lucky and at least check the mileage with a key
The original PERSIANBMW
crap shoot.
most cars there won't have a key. most of them also have had the batteries removed.
i just started going recently and i have only found 2 cars that have had the keys in them. i also have only found 2-3 cars that actually still had the battery in them, they usually are pulled before they are dropped on the yard.
E38 740iL at Crazy Ray's Mt. Airy; Looked mostly intact w/ 2-3 Style 8s There were a few 90's 3s and 5s that looked like they had been there a while.

'89 735i, '91 850i, '81 MB 380SLC (For Sale), Tesla Model 3, and VW Passat TDI -- Yes, I still repair General Modules, DM for info!
Crazy Ray's at Hawkins Point had an e34 with OEM clear signals and tails in nice condition
1990 325i - Mark D Chip, 19lb Injectors, H&R Race Springs, Koni SA, Borbet Type M's
1994 325i - Soon to be OBDI S52 powered! with 3.5" MAF, Supersprint Headers, Stromung Cat Back, TRM Tune, H&R Race Springs, Bilstein Sports
If you could, keep an eye out for e36 coupes. I am looking for the drivers side door handle assembly. I live in Springfield so I would really only want to go out to crazy rays if I know they have the part.
Thanks
any tan coupe interiors for e36 im interested in!
Anyone know what's up with e36s at hawkins or jessup?
06NOV2011@Crazy Rays, Edgewood. 3 E36s, an older 5 series, and that was it.
Went to Whitewater Auto salvage yard down in stafford.

Is that blue car an automatic or a manual? The 325i in blue, the 1993? I need an engine side harness out of a non-ASC car.
I was at Hawkin's yesterday (11/7) grinding away on the gravel and glass. Here's what they have:
1 318ti white, manual transmission.
3 328i's 1 manual, 2 automatic.
1 328is manual, weird blue color
1 325i in the first row. The motor is complete and it's manual. Killer car too, very clean.
2-3 6 cylinder e39s. There's a burgandy one in the front row that's almost completely picked apart. Just bodywork left. There's another (green one?) in the 2nd or 3rd row near the middle lane.
1 e34 wagon, green.
Actually all of the cars are pretty clean. Almost all of the 328's engines had been partially disassembled. I was going to pull the valve cover and manifold off the 325, but I left it because that motor is probably usable as a complete unit if someone wants it. The 325's seats are black and in good condition. All the door panels are gone from all the cars.
I pulled the entire trailing arm/brake setup out of one of the 328s, and they wanted $180 for it. Yikes, I put it in the scrap dumpster.

Yeah, there's a:
I honestly didn't look inside the car to see the interior color.
Ray's is a weird place. A lot of times interior stuff gets either destroyed while people pull the window motors or whatever else. The back seats usually get pulled and left on the ground or used as a mat while people work under the car. The windows usually get punched out pretty quickly. I would say that unless you're going there looking for something else, I wouldn't bet on finding a good interior unless you get very lucky. The 325i manual in the first row had a full black interior in pretty good condition. The center console was still there when I was there Sunday, but there's no guarantee it's still there.

Crazy rays in Jessup and right outside of Baltimore have nothing but picked over E36s.
Still looking for a hood and a few other items.
