I have had little time to work on car this year.
Put an a/f gauge and to my surprise at 5psi the
leanest I'm at is 12.9...
My total ign timing feels retarded big time which
can only be from the heat..
I bought a jay - car hand controller & digi-pulse adjuster
to run two injectors for intake pipe like the yella terra setup.
After visiting (and surprising the yella terra guy),
he finally convinced me to intercool via water to air..
So I have ordered the biggest core and will make my own end tanks.
I will cut a 25mm plate to further lift the blower..
This will in turn require me to cut my bonnet(been looking for an excuse, damn...)
But for now(until jan)I will run 50/50 meth water for cooling and a fatter a/f
as a quick fix until I can set up intercooler.
Then I will use the injector set up for fuel only
and go to 12psi( i'd like 14 but have to be real)
And just to confuse my self publishing brain, I have a guy
who can build me an bored vanos eng from an x5.. who also
has info on american comp for tough zf hp24...
There goes my $$$
Will send pics of water/meth set up 3-4 weeks.
Incidentally I have run a few ls1 and wrx...
ls1 no probs, only one modded wrx got me on top end...

I've seen a set for $2,000.00 aus not sure if they're
worth it seeing as cars are designed for the autobahn...

What do you mean by project?? Plans maybe?
There is a fair amount of time and work required
to fit roots type chargers on our cars..
If I were to do it again i would use a side mount set up..
Easier to inter cool and a fraction of the wiring mods..
Don't get me wrong I love the set up and it's only the beginning,
it's a lot of work...
Just taking the intake manifold off, you need to release the
wiring harness from the trans..then extend injector / coil wires
to clear the charger.. faaarrrkkk

With 10.1 CR ratio and 11+ psi I would really consider running some type of air to water IC set up. These eatons are not the most efficent superchargers to begin with and produce some pretty high intake temps even with the IC.
12.9 A/F ratio is pretty lean for a forced induction setup with 10.1 CR ratio. Watch the meth injection before the blower. Not for sure about your's but some of the Eaton SC's have a coating on the SC blades that will start coming off and going into your engine.

I was toying with the idea of using the supercharger off a Cadillac STS-V. its a M122 with the intercooler on top like the Op original idea.
the intercooler is already in place on top of the s/c and that would take car of a few opsticles. they run for around 750 on ebay.

Hey guy's, a brief update...
changed auto for 4.4 version w/xtra clutches and so far
no more trans slip..
Big news (for me anyway) is i have a fire damaged
2005 x5 with all running gear intact...
So out with the 3.4 and in with the twin vanos & valvetronic
N62 + '6pd' auto and four wheel drive...
Whilst many I'm sure will say no way...
The X5 and E39 share the same platform (and X3 same as E46)
so we have drive line laid out and I'm planning to
use X5 suspension with my shock's so I can legally fit
X5 size wheels...(albeit with a wider track.time for some AMG
style wheel arches)
For this eng, I have chosen a Harrop HTV2300 charger..
I won't say too much more cos' i'd rather let some pics
do the talking...
Once I have first pics, I will introduce who I believe one of the
most experienced and talented BMW technicians I have ever come across..
So far, he has proven most people wrong when they say it can't be done..

Have realised the reality of someone here in aus tuning
my 5.2.1 DME...
I have tried both water and meth injection in intake to
see if car will release some ign timing..
Seem's that if I introduce more fuel/meth the car rearlises that it
is foreign and not of it's own accord guess what???
The fucker leans itself to danger-zone..
I also tried disconnecting vacuum line to fuel pressure reg but that
also triggered a lean out..
I have the Harrop HTV 2300, what a nice piece..
Tossing up wether to buy a Haltech Platinum 2000 ECU and have the
car tuned..
My last guess is the knock sensors aren't happy with the Eaton's noise
and BMW have programmed the DME to retard in 3 degree increments
hence killing my top end..
Any idea's anyone??
Had a vague reply from Dinnan-us and that was it..
Fitted a Hong-Kong spec 3.6 lsd..
Guy's let me tell you, get one-no looking back..
Tired to send pics of Harrop and N62 but know luck.
Make sure you are injecting water/meth upstream of the air intake temp sensor, also try just water without meth so it doesn't affect your afrs and see if it still leans out.

I found out that all these parts came from jaguar xjr x308:
- AJ85326 (supercharger Eaton M112, jaguar part-number)
- AJ85393 (that air outlet with V8 sign)
- AJ81445, AJ81444 (left and right intake manifolds with intercoolers)
Going to put this "kit" on my m62b35 as soon as I'll get all these parts (currently searching for the used ones - in Russia we have troubles with ebay..((().
