Does anyone know anywhere in the Winston-Salem/Triad area in NC? Thanks
You should check out Eurobahn Motorsports in Greensboro. They do awesome work and have great customer service. Even get a courtesy wash and vacuum when they are done. And if your in the market for another Bimmer they have a few for sale at their shop.

Hi guys, moved to Charlotte area and was referred to this thread by Jay Hudson for some local resources.
I have an E46 M3 track car that requires some basic services; so I am looking for a reputable/friendly shop in SE Charlotte (near 51/16) for (track friendly alignments and tyre mounting/bal).
Any recomendations? Look forward to some feedback.

I have not experienced the same as you have had with Bess Auto. They were extremely rude and disrespectful toward me and high-balled me on quotes by over $1200. I went down the road to German Auto in Hickory, NC and beat their prices by double. Genuine BMW parts, great labor rates, and fast turn around. I have heard that Bess Auto does solid work, but that's all I've heard of them. I did not deal with the owner of Bess, but one of his partners. I'm not refuting the practices of Bess Auto in anyway, nor am I saying they are not capable. This is just my experience and only mine. I prefer German Auto is all. The owner of German Auto actually used to work at Bess Auto a long time ago and branched off to run his own shop.

Work I have had done at German Auto:
Water Pump, Radiator and Hoses, Serpentine Belt, Transmission replacement, both o2 sensors, cam-shaft position sensor, passenger window regulator.
PS: Please don't confuse German Auto with Bavarian Auto which is further up highway 70 toward Hickory.

Jon has done work on my 2004 BMW 530i, 2001 BMW 740iL and my 2003 CLK500. Always very nice and professional and I like how he explains exactly what he's doing to my cars and most importantly WHY he's doing it. I've wasted a lot of money at dealerships and even indy shops on repairs my cars didn't need, but with Jon, I never waste a cent. Highly recommended!
Anyone have recommendation on an Indy in/near Myrtle Beach?
Usually do my own maintainance but time for a valve adjustment and the dealer is outrageous.

I just moved to Fayetteville. I'm trying to get the scoop before I need any service. Do you guys know of any great shops in the area?
[CLT CHARLOTTE] Charlotte region, there is an absolute expert (and personally has owned) BMW in the SE area Indian Trail. Nikolay 'Nick' Kalashnikov. Shop number is (980) 475-0246. 4824-C Unionville Indian Trail Rd. Facebook 'Top Automotive'. Instagram 'TOP_AUTOMOTIVE'. email 'topautoinc@gmail.com'. He also specializes in Porsche and Mercedes. Well worth the drive to see his attention to detail and obvious appreciation for these autos. If you want a referral I can be reached at 'dave@thetrush.com'. Proud owner of a remarkable 3-series Nick has worked on since I have owned it.
I'm moving to NC in June and I need to know what "turbo friendly" shops there are around the Fayetteville area....do you have to get emissions testing done in the county you live in or can you get it done anywhere?

Recently purchased a 2001 330i, trying to decide on a shop in the Greensboro, NC area I want to use in the future.
I've already had my car to the shop to diagnose why my remote locking isn't working and that particular shop ended up charging me close to $40 to tell me my keys were the problem. Recently sent my key to a forum member to have it repaired only to find out the key was fine, so my confidence in this one shop has dropped already. I'll list the three shops I'm considering including the one I've been too already . Anyone in the Greensboro (Piedmont Triad area) got a preference?
