Sounds like things are progressing well for the semi-annual meet.
Also - I'm sure the owners of the Sand Hills area won't have a problem if we behave ourselves and it is only once a year (so far).
I've always been more of a R&S troll, but I much prefer participating here

I may come out to the C&C this week, I've been once but I didn't know anyone there.
May be down for the meets, need some new rear tires -- until then, no long trips.
You have to! We definitely need as many people as we can get. I think so far the count for Cars & Coffee is around 8 or 9 and I'm sure there will be more bimmer people there that aren't on this website that we can recruit for our meet and recruit onto bimmerforums!
I wonder how much the banners are. I wouldn't mind having one on my car if it were just for the meets and C&C.
2010 Black C300 Sport Mercedes Benz
2008 Hellrot Zed 3.0i Sport (traded)
Can you repeat that because I can't hear you over the sound of how awesome I am?
Don't worry. Once all the non-Bimmer ladies see how fine I am they will all trade their cars in for BMWs just so they can be in our club.
We have this in hand.
It's a good thing we have you here Godzilla!

Looks like we're picking up! I know there are a few more people in the Carolina section but I just haven't seen them post in a while!
I'm hoping we can pick up more - pending posting of quality pics in the R&S section and promoting the Carolina section from there

Maybe start a Cars of the Carolinas thread there?
We'll see.

^ Ben made a good point in the New Years thread about having a cookout meet. We could either have a cookout at one of the existing meets or I thought maybe we could throw in a third meet to be a cookout/party hard meet sometime in late spring/early summer? Maybe in Charlotte? After a C&C? Any suggestions?
Dragon Run update: still hitting up google maps to find a good spot for all of us to gather before hitting the Tail.
Cross posted in the other thread: I have a great place for a cookout meet in Mooresville if we don't have a convenient place in Charlotte. I can probably get the city to section it off; our town is big on cars, as you know.
There's *should* be a nice place here at Bragg - complete with shelters and grill already there - could be a possibility. I'll check it out today or tomorrow.
Edit: Here's the map. Zoom in and use the brid's eye view. Basketball court and volleyball courts available, according to the misses.
P.S. - This is NOT on the actual installation so people may come and go as they please.
EDIT 15?: Might not be a good idea after - supposedly there's an "admittance fee". I'll do more research today and tomorrow.
There might also be some spots in Uwharrie NF - with camping possibilities for those that would want.

I'd like to get in on the Dragon meet. I haven't gone yet, and it'd be great to go w/ the Bim crowd. I'll have to keep an eye on the weather, we can still get snow at the end of Feb and my Lucy's a fair weather Johnson.
I'd like to make the other meets, but May 28th prlly wont happen. SOWO is the weekend before in Helen, GA. It's a huge turnout for VWs but a lot of BMWs are starting to come out too. I'm planning on going, if I can get hotel res.
SOWO is Southern Worthersee right? I thought about making an appearance there in the E30.

^^You are correct. Autoimage went last year and said was blast and is planning on going this year. He's got a VW and the M3, but I think he's going to bring the M. It'd be great to see more Bims there, so you def need to bring the e30!

Will do! Definitely looks like we're attracting more and more activity here! I have a buddy looking at getting an E30 so once he gets one we'll have another member for the meets!
And not knowing the area at all, how does meeting in Asheville sound to everyone? Also if you guys can think of a better area for us to meet at before our Dragon Run then let me know and I can look it up and then narrow it down to a more specific spot.

Asheville's kinda far from the Dragon. Bryson City might be a better option.
^ I searched for a Wal-Mart near Bryson City and found one in nearby Sylva? How does that sound to everyone? Any suggestions other than meeting at a Wal-Mart? Like a McDonalds or Chick-fil-a so everyone can get breakfast and use the little boys and girls room so we're all ready to go?
