When my '97 540i got totaled at 230,000, I found an '02 to replace it. When a friend asked why, I said: No woman ever walks into a shoe store and says "I'd like to get another pair just like these." But a man will. It's possible, even likely, that we will wear something out before we get tired of it. That was true with my 540i. I enjoy it every time I drive it.
So add me to the chorus. If you love it, keep it.

Ii guess the 2000 740i Sport I just bought is still a baby. Had 103K when I picked it up from an elderly gentleman in Phoenix area and drove home to Michigan last week. She purred like a kitten all the way home. 00808_koAenf9XsHA_1200x900.jpg

They last until something fails... then your justify to the wife/sig other repairing it (or not)
