I didn't care for your interior when I first saw it in Dec, but I appreciated the craftsmanship in the leatherwork. But now it's grown on me and I love it!

Just wondering why you didn't find a homelink to throw up here while it was apart at the shop?

You should take a look at www.centrafuse.com for your navigation. A friend of mine created it, and it would be awesome in there... You can skin it to match your car.
I never knew that kind of stuff was possible or existed. Found this just to show how sweet this carputer stuff is, and this was from 3+ years ago.

Thanks brother. I'm gonna go with Dynavin tho. Just trying to get some stuff sorted out before that. The homelink I use once a month so I don't really care.

Yeah, thanks for sharing. I prefer the look of the Dynavin tho. It's more "OE" looking.

    Duuuuude, this is amazing!

I'm interested in the arm rest and the handbrake red leather.
Where did you get the arm rest (I hate the OEM one with the phone slot) and what kind of shop did you go to to get the red leather put on ?

    Hi eljay28

Very easy points there to find out about!

You can pickup a euro armrest and have it re-trimmed. I have a grey one knocking about in my E39 spares shed! so check things like egay and classifieds here on forums and craigslist etc.

have a quick search on googly or yahooy for 'Vehicle Re-trimming' around your area etc and call up the specialists that come up. There's many places that will do re-trims and there's 1000's of colours to choose from.

GJVah - well done again on your interior! I have a few plans of my own on my Touring interior as well hopefully, next time i'm over in LV and LA (SEMA & seeing the MFest guys as well as talking to suppliers) I'll be able to catch you up!

    Cheers, Dennis!

Looks great, a lot of work when it to it for sure. I put a Alcantra head liner in my car and almost wrecked my sunroof so my hat is off to you.

    This is Sweet.
    Well done.

It reminds me a little of the new vw passat cc interior.

How much did you spend on the suede redo? I'm looking to do that to my car as well, i was looking to do suede inserts with the tiny holes on my leather seats...

NIce work! I commend you on a job very well done. I have a few questions: How is the suede attatched to the OEM wood trim? Also does it feel solid on their? I am younger and don't have a ton of $$ to spend on my 540 so I was looking to do this by myself. Do you think I could get the suede at a fabric store?

Lastly what kind of headlights/kit do you have on that beauty?

This interior has inspired me to do something similar to my e36 sedan. You have done a superb job

The suede it attached with 3M spray glue. Sand the trim for better contact and stick on.Headlights and tails are OEM retrofits.

A lot of extra work was done on mine (new padding, bunch of parts replaced) so it came to about 6. It can be done way cheaper if everything else is in tact.

Its the same armrest you have, the phone hole was filled with some material and extra padding added to make it soft, then covered with matching leather. Any auto upholstery shop can do it.

Yeah, I saw the car midway through the thing... I almost cried. It looked like someone set off a bomb in there.
I found this in my phone, I don't think I've posted it before.

Thanks. They used their glue (some industrial thing) but it can be done with 3M spray glue. Make sure you sand the pieces for better contact. Suede is easy to find, you should have no problems getting it at any fabric store. It's quite cheap too.
