Black always makes a great canvas for a color change. Nice piece of work!

Absolutely love it! I plan on doing a major interior upgrades like that with 2 tone grays. That will be a little while down the road. I have more performance mods I want to do first. This is a great inspiration piece for those of us who are doing upgrades over time!!!

I didn't even notice that until you pointed out, it actually looks pretty good!

and that interior is awesome, no way its a small upgrade! I envy you guys in California have so many of those talented people doing jobs for a fair price, I'm sure one of those retrim would cost easily $3k+ here.

Holy... Awsome job.. It takes alot to make red look good and you have done it! I would say that the black contrast set it perfectly. What i want to know is what seats you used and how!
Also, for the car being painted white and have a black overall int. The untouched door jams make it actually flow nicely.

this brings out the details and the curves of the interior. well done. the e39 was the best interior design for the 5 series to date, imo.

Very nice...I think that interior in all black would be so tits...although the red does look good. So how much did it all run you?

I hadn't really noticed the door jambs until this was pointed out either. IT looks fantastic that way!

    I like it.
However, I am just not sure it fits the E39 sedan.
Maybe a Porsche or an M3.
I think if I was spending the money on the interior seats, I think I would have gone with M5 seats.
None the less, your car is very unique and a beauty.

Looking for an E39 belly pan , passenger front inner fender liner …

The work looks good.. but the red is way too flashy for what the car is.

one question, the leather of your seats, where did you get it? and the interior doors covers?
    are those OEM or aftermarket?

    happy holidays
They got the materials from the OE supplier. It's what you would get in an e60 M5. Panels are stock. Happy Holidays to you too.

Jdjg - the interior upgrade there is all aftermarket and has been retimmed by specialists. A previous ex business partner and my brother and myself were involved here in the UK with the same industry, but we pulled out of it 6-7 years ago. I still have contacts though, and I'm shortlisting colours and styles and interiror mods I want to do!

    Cheers, Dennis! West London UK!

PS - what are you californians doing up at like 4am!?!!
Thanks bro, definitely gimme a call.

Mine was a lot of extra work involved (new paddings, new pieces in the seats that needed replacing, etc etc) but it should take about a week.

Its the way the seat is designed. There are metals bars pulling the leather down from that particular spot. If you open the front support piece (idk what it's called) it's about the same size.

Nope, it's a perfect straight, sharp line. Idk how they did it, will post close ups later on.

I had a lot of extra stuff done, but it costs about 4.5-5.5k when all said and done. (I paid a little more)

Wow man it looks really good. Some very minor things I would change but overall, fantastic quality, superb color combination, especially in the white car. Super classy. Personally I would have done diamond pleating in the seat center but thats just my personal taste.

One thing I will say that does really bother me and really seems to make it seem not as nice is this

Takes all of 2 seconds to get the plastic piece off the MID cover, take a thin screwdriver poke two holes through the Alcantara and it will go in place on top of the fabric, if you do that - you have reached perfection!

interior color combo also really reminds me of the M5 ute

Veeeeeeery nice. Doesn't look ricey or donk'd out. The color choices and fabric materials/textures look perfect. Don't forget to get your upholsterer a Christmas present!
