there are people that spend 250K dollars on a single wrist watch. So this evo build is chump change for some people out there. Some of my buddies parents rebuild and have spare boat motors that cost $100K a piece and each boat has 3 of them X the three speed boats they own.... Its all in what your passionate about and how deep your pockets are!
"Lamborghini, the tractor maker, wanted to figure out why his Ferrari's clutch kept crapping out (PITA, cost a lot of money). He complained to Ferrari, and Enzo didn't do anything. Lamborghini discovered it was the same, much cheaper clutch used in his tractors. The rest is history..."
I am impressed by things most impressive...
and especially enjoy the fact that its on 4bangers
M42!!
Holy crap!!

I believe you are referring to Norwood Racing's Integra funny car. Definitely a beast and one hell of a one off engine.

a) *mocks* oooh...I like big turbos...ooooh...
b) What? No Inconel? tsk tsk...
c) Must be a drag racer since they CUT into the frame rail of an otherwise unibody chassis, which means it has NOOOO torsional ridigity. Not without a shitload of strut tower bracing, and even then, the chassis will flex like it's sheet aluminium.
d) That is NOTTTT efficient turbo manifold design. If they want to see efficient turbo manifold design, go look on the BMW N63(B44) engine. THAT is efficient turbo manifold design.
e) I wonder if they're using a Haldex or Torsen center diff/transfer case.
f) I'm also betting, no polymer electronics.
g) Awww....no carbon nanotubes for the drive/prop shafts?
h) Nothing like the leading edge blade design of the GE90?
i) No tandem, e-clutch packs for the DCT?
j) I'd love to see this thing try and take the Variante di Rettifilo. LOL.
first post huh... someone looks like a hater to me

wow whats the price tag on that?
yeah i figured as much, just was curious if it was worth all that cost. I mean JZ motors do those numbers too. hmmm just curious.
Where's the inconel tubing? I'm confused.
True, but sometimes it's not always about the numbers. The quality and engineering in that 4g63 is beyond comparison. If I had to guess on the cost of this build, I'd say somewhere between $150k-300k...without having any clue about the labor charges. Extreme Tuners does top-notch builds, so I wouldn't expect them to have competitive prices with your local tuner shops...you get what you pay for, and with those guys you're getting a masterpiece.

Nelson Mandela borrowed this from Marianne Wilson in his 1994 inaugural speech - "Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, "Who am i to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?" Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn't serve the world. There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. You were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within you. It's not just in some of us, it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we're liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.
any one else notice the kind of car the "hater" drives, lol
we all just chose to ignore him. He could drive a Zonda R, if you're gonna hate on this car you're still an idiot.
Sorry to bump an old thread but I don't think I've seen the video of the finished product here, came across it on vortex:
