limited production run of 1400 vehicles, none of which were imported to north america, the #2 ultimate E46, a very collectable car with cult status and a starving collage student.

i don't think he'll send you any pictures any time soon!

incidentally, the #1 ultimate E46 is the M3 GTR. 10 cars were built for street use. on the track it won the IMSA championship in 2001, taking 1st in 7 out of 8 races. it was then banned from the series when porsche protested. it also won the 24hour Nürburgring in 2004 and 2005.

I know all this is not supposed to matter on limited edition cars, but Clarkson's sarcasm makes me LOL all the time:

You can't put heavy shopping in the boot in case it falls though the cardboard floor, and you can't use it unless it's hot and sunny, and if it is hot and sunny you'll melt because there's no air conditioning, and if rain is on the way you won't know because you can't hear the weather forecast because there's no radio

Did you notice, the wheels on the CSL aren't CSL wheels? They're regular M3 wheels...wonder why that is.

Because the one's in England are called CS (Club sport) not CSL (Club Sport Light). They have alot of the same stuff that the CSL has but not everything ie: Rims. As for the CSL none were imported to the USA so the US M3 received the Compation package, no cardboard in the Boot mate!

I'm working towards buying the M3 GTR...that one has the CSL wheels and it just looks awesome...

M1 concept next. Goal is to buy them all...I saw a face lifted E46 that was racing modified in the USED section, was too far out of my price range though. :/

Japan yes you can get a CSL, but only in England it is a CS. Not too many were made though, these cars were made for the track, and not really for the road. However, you could get the radio, A/C ect installed if you wanted it, just didn't come from the Motorsport that way is all. I will be very impressed if you are able to get the CSL registered though.
