Pieces you're looking for are called "risers" not sure where to buy them.

I have a TV at home and a low LTW wing I've been contemplating for over a year now. Never thought it would look good until I saw this TV... right click save indeed!

That's it? You must frequent a fairly low-trafficked store...

Earlier in this thread I believe someone said there's a noticeable difference in how the car drives with an LTW wing.
Can anyone elaborate on these differences? Would they be noticeable if you were upgrading from a standard M3 wing?

In Germany the Wing might only be mounted, when GT-corners(LTW) are mounted on the front.
The LTW (GT) Front lip (the ine under these corners) might only be mounted when the wing is mounted. (german TÜV regulation, got the papers 4 it here.)
I have the impression that after mountig it the car can go faster in curves. It is more fun to drive on the Autobahn ,now.

Here is mine: not an LTW/ GT wing cuz it ain´t a coupé. it is an 318is class2 (the only E36 is that is a sedan)wing, probably the same than the ltw, but fits sedan trunk only.

    yes Sir: sedan: 51 71 2 268 552

    part number 1:

    http://bmwfans.info/parts/catalog/E3...oiler_class_2/

( I know that picture doesn´t show a sedan, but the part number is for sedan, as you can read in the link)

    coupé number : 51 71 2 489 685
    http://bmwfans.info/parts/catalog/E3...oiler_class_2/

    also part no. 1 .

the upper wing is the same part number, just the "ground plate" is differnt to fit the differnt trunk wides.
here a link to a german installation manual for both, sedan and coupé:http://www.m3-gt-racing.de/downloads...lermontage.pdf
    see on page 3 (Lieferumfang des Einbausatzes für E36/2 (coupe) 1.line Heckflügelunterteil ( wing- under part) =part no 51 71 2 267 444.9
and compare it to the 1.line under Limousine (sedan): Heckflügelunterteil = part no 51 71 2 264 508.9

The good news is that the problem will go away in a few years. You'll probably destroy the car before that happens, though.

    I'd suggest a bicycle, meanwhile.

This is exactly why I took mine off and use it as a shoe rack.

I've been trying to get to the bottom of this...are the coupe and sedan versions the same? or is the trunk different?

There are different versions in Europe. You can get the coupe spoiler to fit on a sedan (mine is from an M3 GT), it just overhangs the edges of the trunk by about a quarter inch on each side.
