Amir took this pic at SoCal Vintage.

This is one of the pics sent to me last night by Vahik, the owner.

Bingo! Another Baur comes in from the cold!

I haven't been on ion a while, but I grabbed this baur in from the dark in 2010....and even got the baur tag.

I don't think my baur is ever coming out of the garage this year, we just got a foot of snow today and it's still coming down. I'm tired of winter.

The Frozen Baur (AKA The Frozen Ground) now on Netflix (John Cussack is driving the Omega behind the Baur)

Yes, Jeff, I remember that post. We included your pics in our post on that car on Baurspotting:

    Thanks again!

We too are tired of this winter.... but, sheesh, we aren't dealing with another foot of snow today! And I thought April was supposed to be the 'cruelest month'! Hang in there, Jeff. This too shall pass!

I recently saw a man and his wife driving an e21 baur in the Denver area. I waved enthusiastically from my E34.

What? You didnt get the Baur plate number for us???

    JK.

Any other details on the car? Color? We do have an unconfirmed report of a 1979 320i Baur in Denver, but we have no further info on it.... until now!

Therefore, your Mission, should you choose to accept it, is to remain on Baurspotting Alert, and if you sight this Baur again.....

.... follow him/her home and tell him/her all about us, and invite them to join us here and on Baurspotting! We will take it from there!

Seriously, any help on this will be greatly appreciated. And it could earn you public acclaim as "Baurspotter of the Week"!

All I can tell you for now is that it was white and from about 100 feet away it looked pretty good. It's at least serviceable enough to take the owner out for a drive. I'll keep my eyes peeled.

Very interesting. I neglected to mention that the Baur we are seeking in Denver is white. !!! Sounds like you may have spotted that one!

    Small Baur World strikes again!

I also forgot to mention that the Baurspotter of the Week Award, when combined with about 2 bucks, will get you a doppio in any Starbucks in the US!

So you will have THAT going for you. Which is nice.

I've been thinking some more about where I saw the car and I came up with one other detail that might help you. I was driving to a client at the time so I didn't have time to stop and harass him, but he was driving on Colorado Blvd in denver only a few blocks away from Murray BMW. It was a weekday and I don't imagine that someone is daily-ing it, so it's possible that the car was brought to Murray for service or inspection. If you know anybody there, they might be able to get you some more info.

From what I could tell at the time it was E21 based, but it's also possible that it was an E30, since I didn't know there were both versions at the time.

That is exactly the kind of incidental, seemingly trivial, observation that can lead to a great payoff, if we get lucky! This is why Baurspotter boots and eyes on the ground are soooo important. We would have no way of knowing that if you hadnt told us.

Thank you! I will look into that.... you never know!

It may not lead to anything, but it is worth a shot! We shall see.

We had a great turnout of Baurs at the Vintage at Saratoga last weekend: 8, including some very special examples! Three E21 Baurs!

New Baur find in PNW! I received an email yesterday from Dennis F. in Spokane Valley, WA, along with a couple of pics.
    Dennis+F.+of+Spokane+Valley+WA+1980+e21+Baur+A+1132.jpg

    Check it out!
    http://baurspotting.blogspot.com/201...valley-wa.html

In addition, we came up with a couple more Baurs, both in the UK, through Facebook:
Another E21, owned by Mark W. of Leeds:

And a Cabrio Targa, owner Hilaire O., spotted by Scott S. on Facebook. Thanks, Scott!

We hope to have more info on all of the above soon, so stay tuned!

Under the hood, on top of the driver's side quarter panel. It will say: 'Baur Karosserie" followed by a number starting with the letter "A". the last two numbers are separated by a hyphen, and refer to the trim. Here is an example from Baur #4371:
