Here's an update on my old Baur, now Allan's.

He brought it out to a cruise into the middle of the woods a good distance from home. It looked to be running very well. I was happy to see that he'd went the fully stock route and installed an M20B23. Well done Allan!

Lookin' good! Thanks for the pics, Twelvizm! I love the E21s in white! Kudos Allan!

Not sure what BAUR # this one is, however, just popped up on ebay yesterday:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/BMW-3-Series...m=301629275261
Thanks you for the 'heads up"! BAUR NR. 72331-14
We have seen this listed previously, and he has now dropped his price! His Buy it Now is at $6000, down from his original asking price of $9950. Still high for a non-original 'project car", but we shall see what happens!
Here is our post from last February about this car:

Thank you, 02parts!
We have just added an updated blog post with this new info! Thanks again, 02parts!

It is also up on our Baurspotting Facebook page, incidentally.

We haven't used this thread much lately, so it may be worth reviving to some extent. Baur #689 is for sale in the DC area! We have seen this Baur ourselves several times... and it appears to be a beauty! I am biased, however, since I love white E21s, and here we have a white E21 Baur! So check it out! Engine swapped to a 325i, btw.

Baur 689 for Sale in Maryland! Again! It looks like it sold this summer (July 2 post above) to a dealer, and now it is for sale again!
Thanks to our friend and fellow Baur owner Afonso Conceicao for the heads upon the beautiful E21 Baur for sale in the Washington DC area. We know this Baur! It is a beauty, with some nice upgrades, including a close ratio transmission, and an upgraded engine. Check it out!

Thanks to my friend and fellow Connecticut Baur owner Afonso Conceicao for tipping me off to this new ebay listing the other day for a 1978 320 Baur in Texas! This is an early Baur, which was listed in the ad as #215 of 4595, according to the seller. Nice find, Afonso!)
But.... this story quickly took a funny twist! This is why we always ask for a PIC of the Baur Plate Number!

This Baur #251 didn't sell at the Mecum auction in April, with the highest bid of $12,000. Then sold for $10,000 - not sure what happened???
It's now on Ebay again:

and at a car dealership in Colorado, asking price is $15,900

I am resurrecting an old thread. Anyone have information about a 1978 Euro silver with black interior 320/6 Baur with the Tag number A000215-06? I have an opportunity to pick this one up. The interior is about 9/10+, tops are in excellent shape, but the trunk needs rust repair, and possibly some floor pan repair. Paint good from 12 feet. Thanks in advance for any help!
Tim
BAUR A00215 Bellingham WA Owner: Tom1
It is listed in the Baur Spotting Blog but doesn't say anything more about it.
Thanks!!! That is definitely the car!

Doesn't sound very good. if you buy it, don't over-pay.
Here are some of his comments on the Baur's status at present:
"It ran when last parked about 8 years ago. Now that the new Weber is on it should fire right up. I need to bleed the brakes and replace the shocks/struts. It was rear ended and both front and rear were damaged. A new Radiator support and rear clip (welded rear of the fuel door) were welded in place and that is where my boss stopped. I expect to have it running and driving in the next few weeks-no rush though, spring doesn't start here until July. I then plan on finishing a bit of filler work on the rear quarter panels and fixing a handful of parking lot dings. The body work probably should be complete before summer as well but I may not have it painted until next spring due to time and money. "
Yes. Good advice. Any thoughts on the value of one in this condition?
