Performance winter tires vs studdless winter tires

I was wondering if there is a significant difference in life span between these two tires. On tirerack it states winter tires have about 12k to 15k life span to them. Could performance winter tires see more life than this?

    Thanks

I would say about the same, or maybe slightly less life for the performance winters ( I think they sometimes have a bit less tread). It really depends more on your driving and the conditions than anything else. Pick whichever suits your requirements. I go with the performance winters since I still want the higher top speed and the better handling in the dry. I can get by with a bit less snow/ice traction since I live in the city and the roads are usually cleaned well.
