E36 M3 sedan vs New Camaro RS

After getting my butt smoked on a top end run , by a 944 turbo, a couple weeks ago....I wanted some redemption. Last night I spotted a new 6 banger Camaro driving like a nut job....he was weaving in and out of traffic , taking off at every light...etc. Now , I know the stats on those new v6 Camaro's are pretty impressive, I didn't excpect to win, but HAD to try. I finally caught up to him(after driving like a nut myself) Red Light! SWEET!....The guy rolls down his window ,"is that a real M3", I said yes , He Replied "It can't be it's a 4 door"...Facepalm....Anyway , the light turns green...we both had great launches, No tire spin from either car....1st thru 3rd gears DEAD EVEN as soon as I hit 4th I pulled about a fender on him.He shut down as soon as he seen my pull. All in all I was extremely happy.....230,000 miles and still running strong....By the way Mods are , 97 sedan AUTO, M50 , Cai, Dinan stage 4 Tranny software , Sharked, and most important 3.91 lsd

I can see this happening. My 97 m3/4/a went 14.4@98 with just 3.91 gears. You've got some nice mods too. Good kill.

Reminds me of this one time one of my good friends made a comment about my 01 M3. "You should've gotton a 2000, they were the best year"

dam thats a good kill for an auto. I guess my girlfriends '95 coupe is gonna have to get gears and tranny software now...

Thanks guys, If you have an auto a 3.91 lsd is BY FAR your best mod, aside from a manual conversion of course. The dinan stage 4 Tranny software raise shift points to 7K rpms to make good use of the M50. You won't have a world beater with these mods, but it will suprise Alot of people
