Ahh, I got ya. Yeah, the whole interior is leather; dash, doors, console, headliner etc. I know that it doesn't add any real value like the M6, which is what I suspect the mechanic thought I was referring to. Still a little something to set it apart I suppose. Thanks for all your help, I'm pretty new at the BMW game.

Sure thing! Plenty of good information floating around on these boards to help you out if needed.

Well it seems as though this service will no longer be available for use. I went to pull some lists over the weekend and it looks like the system has removed the button you click to pull the options lists. Whether this change is permanent or not, I have no idea, but I suspect that it is. Hate for it to end, but it looks like it has. Sorry about that, gang. I'll check back with the system periodically in the near future and see if things change back.

Hey Alex. Very cool! Thank you very much... Now I just have to figure out what the wheel option was. 7x15 BMW alloy star spoke 44. Does that mean style 44's? Cheers, Scott

They would not have been style 44's from the factory. That's a new wheel design, but I can't tell you exactly what that option means. You'll find this link in handy when/if you get into wheel stuff:
    http://felgenkatalog.auto-treff.com/

It's a listing of all of BMW's stock wheels.

    Hi Alex

Restoring the following car and the original options list would be handy.

    Alex,

I'm taking a good look at this one...9402754 looks like another promising gal . I actually got info from the owner, but would like a sheet copy for my records.

    Thanks for that

I just got the car a month ago. I have started two other threads on it. at first I did not want to buy it unseen, but when i finally got to see it I bought it.

Started out doing a good clean and though inspection. Almost everything works, engine is sound, door seals and trim is in place. Car was slightly neglected but a good clean and come cosmetic stuff and she looks a million bucks better. Slight vibration under acceleration.

First on the list is a leather seat redo... and electric seat and window motor service... and explore the aircon/ heater issue. And let my indie at it when he will no doubt inform me that all the suspension bushings are shot or something similar.

I see there is an error on the report
S682A RADIOANTENNE AUTOMATISCH - Rear bench seat in fabric

That threw me abit as it definitely has a leather rear bench seat.

Also style 44s ... it has BBS basket weaves on now.

    Anyway thanks for the info

Looks pretty slick from the options list, sir. Are you finally going to bring another home?

I'll have a look through your threads...must have missed them.

Some of the translations aren't exactly correct. I've had one come back as something like "Rape Methyl-Ester Version."

Yours is the second question (first from Scott) that I've had about the S290A option (star spokes 44). No way it can refer to the Style 44 wheel since that was a 17" wheel and only offered on the E36/E46. I just checked the options lists on my cars, and I think it refers to this TRX style:

My '85 showed the same option and came with that wheel from the factory.

Finally??? Sir, I'm averaging one 6er per year. Thanks for the list. This 6er looks great in pics and will end up kicking out one of my current Euros out of the garage. We'll see. Never would have thought I would want more than a three car garage.

This is true. I keep forgetting that you've only been on these boards for a couple years.
