E38 M73 engine / INPA 2000 750i : M73 EML v's DME 5.21 right / left MJ99

Hi,

For years the copy of INPA I was using would let me look at the left and right banks form DME 5.2 (in german of course).

After a recent journey into coding I got a fresh INPA et al install. (EasyBMWTools )

This new-to-me version now gives missing file errors (after the language mismatch error) when I try to get into the the DME 5.2 right / left options.

So I figured I must be missing the files for DME 5.2 right / left

I can however get into the M73 EML option where I can clear faults - but this does not remove the MIL on the dash.

I think I need to clear the faults from the DME 5.2 right / left to do that.

Can someone nudge me in the right direction to retore the files for this?

It has DME521* files (ipo/ini) but they do not seem to cut it.

PS I used OBDWiz and an Elmsscan device I have on CPU12 to find and clear the remaining faults and thus extinguish the MIL.

Ah the power of the internet. I bashed it with a stick for a bit and this fell out:

"Under your INPA\CFGDAT directory, open up E38.ENG in a text editor and make sure you have these lines uncommented (remove the leading semicolon character) or add them manually under the ROOT_MOTOR section:"

I do not have a seperate E38.ENG so I edited the BMW_ALT.ENG instead and it now works.

PS Back to German though.
