    Passenger side seat memory

So as far as I can remember I have not seen a passinger seat with the memory function, correct? Has anyone actually fiddled with the passinger seat to try to add the memory function?

I mean, the opening for the memory key pad is there, for LHD cars you can probalby use the pad from a UK model car and fit it on the passinger side (and vice versa), the seat memory module should be cheap enough, wiring should not be too much of a nightmare. I'm thinking it may be a cool project, no?

haha, i actually love all those gadgets and buttons and what not . Even if it's a dummy im thinking of trying to put a memory pad on the passinger side...just to avoid having that blank plate there.

    Memory pad?

You need the whole seat. Memory seats have different motors with potentiometers on them and there should be a large module with relays and what not store all the positions.

allow me to ask a simple question:
WTF do you need memory for on the passenger seat?

+1 Since all the parts were available, it was easy (sort of) for me to do a fold down rear seat conversion on my '92. However the reaction of a couple owners/friends that would tell me like it is was: "Why?" Now, y'all know I'm no stranger to mods on the E31 but it snapped me back to reality. I think this seat mod is an exercise in futility. Put your effort into lumbar support if you want to do something.

Passenger Memory was offered as an E31 "Individual" option. This one happens to be a B12. Check out the phone...

I came across a set of mint condition luggage and golf bag with caddy years ago. I even used it a couple of times but even though the luggage fits the boot like a glove, packing a triangle isn't the most efficient use of space. If you have an opportunity to acquire a set, for the sake of completion if nothing else, it's certainly worth having.

I guess it's like most options, simply because you can.

I think half of all my mods, you could ask that question. It's just because you want to have every gimmick and switch you can possibly stuff in the car.

Ha sweet. Can't wait to see it.

I see my old reply from 10 years ago. Funny stuff. I'm no longer into stuffing every possible option in my car anymore. Seems like yesterday.
