    GC Rear Bar

Hey guys, just wanted to leave this here because honestly this rear bar is best suited for anyone looking to keep the rear flat, and I tried running this rear bar for auto-x and it just made me drift everywhere, very stiff.

Here is the add for my rear Ground Control sway bar:

If you have any questions feel free to PM me, happy holidays.

Actually a bunch of us E36 guys like running with no rear bar at all myself included, a big rear bar isn't always the best for drifting purposes.

Yep, I don't know much about setting up drift cars, just my experience was that this bar gave me some serious oversteer.

Edit: also very dependent on what spring rates you are running.

    Nate,

You could buy my GC rear and have two!

Haha! Thanks Kirk, but I am trying to make room in my garage, not fill it up.

PS: Hope your S54 rebuild is going well!

did you have a front bar to go along with that rear.... if not thats prob one of the reasons for oversteer.

Yep, I was running the standard sway bar package from ground control, front and rear but it was just too stiff for my taste.

*I think this is the key. In pure Ride your bar does nothing, in pure Roll your roll resistance is the combination of ARB and Spring. I just had way too much spring for this bar, I needed more weight transfer in the rear.

This would be the perfect upgrade for a daily/drift car, you can run softer spring so your daily ride is comfortable and the stiff sway will help on drift days.

im thinking of selling my daily (00 celica) and buy a 318i that someones selling for CHEAP around home, hope that bar still is around.

Just to be completely honest, you have got to keep these greased (or Teflon Tape) if you are going to Daily Drive this bar. Unfortunately most GC rubber bushings squeak, may not be a big deal to some people.

I run no rear bar and a wheel spring rate of like 275 lbs. But with a stock e36 with big steering angle this bar may work very well.
