diff swap question

im looking at changing my diff but i'd want to buy an original BMW
diff ie 3.23 from a M3 Auto but I was wondering which model BMW
comes with the 3.46? i dont think any do as far as i know theres
a 3.45 on the 318ti (compacts) and the 318is is that right?
would a 3.45 from a 318is fit my 328ic? (not counting the flange
change)

If it does fit my 328ic does anyone know the BMW part number
for the 3.45 diff as then i can let my buddies who work in Munich
at bmw know what i need

As far as i know there is no 6 cyl E36 in the US that has a 3.46... a 318s diff is too small to fit. M3 autos have a 3.38

Hi there... I have a 318TI Compact its an absoulute crackin car i want to fit a Limited Slip Differential to it ... Which diff would i be best to fit? and is it a sraight swap? or do i need Shafts and Mounts.. Ooh and the car is manual..
