    Speed sensitive brake boost???

    Ok, I've officially been dosed-

the E36 doesn't have any sort of variable brake boost, right?

Thing is, come flying down an off ramp, jump on the brakes, car
slows like you'd expect- then as it slows past 30, the brakes
feel like they're gaining efficiency, and I end up releasing pedal pressure.
    A LOT.

    Feels like cold race pads.

    Huh.

Wonder what the PO put in there for pads, now, don't I?

    heh.

So seriously, there's no little white speed wire going into the
    braking system, is there???

I'm actually having a similar issue

At speed the braking is normal, however at speeds below about 5-10mph the brakes will be hyper sensitive to pedal input

Interesting- I played with mine a bit today, and it's not particularly heat related, like ya
    might think.

    Any other ideas, all?

i could be wrong but i think this is right. your diafram acts like a brake booster. its real funny how i just finish doin my brakes (stainless steal bark line's and clutch line) and new fluid. and my brakes feel alittle softer then before. i blead the system + clutch and im thinkin maby i have to bleed the master cylinder. but know im thinkin about the diafram air hose that conects to the intake manifold. i dont have a clamp on there. dont know if that will make a diff but am gonna put one on there. thanx for makein me think

i still think im gonna bench blead the master cylinder tho. and if you have asc+t that is a PRESSURE ACCUMULATOR as well build up pressure in the pedle for a tighter stiffer pedle feel even after you presed it
