323 Race Car for sale found in Danville, VA

No affiliation, I didn't drive it or crawl around, but it looks pretty solid. Probably over-priced but may be a good find for someone who has been looking.

I can send pictures to anyone who is interested. I Don't think I can post pictures yet. Writing on the window said:
VIR Race Ready (Virginia International Raceway)
    Stroker Engine
    Heavy Duty Suspension
    Roll Bar
    $4995.

It also has racing seats and harnesses in it. It is White.

at $5000 it's probably not overpriced if it is truly "race ready".

but a rollbar is not race ready. full cage....yes, rollbar...no

I'd love to see it either way.

I actually worked in Martinsville for 4 years. I wish I had known someone that close was nearby, I could have recruited you to help me get this current car I have running.

I actually have only lived here for about 2 years. came up from FL for school.

from the looks of it, it may be a decent track day car, and not much else. still, 5k does seem pretty reasonable depending on what all it has done to it.

I can see different people have different ideas of what a track car is..... Looks like a $3000.00 car to me - way to much plastic body pieces on it, that are not needed on a track car. Just my two cents.

That's just a rear 4-point bolt-in kit. I have the same one, and I wouldn't define it as a "track ready" roll cage.

Technically the car reads "Race ready" which is not claiming to be track ready.
In order to be "Race ready" any car simply needs the application of one right foot.
And, depending on the context, an absence of brain cells.

Then I've got a ford explorer that must be dying for the races.

    KT,

Are you looking for a 323i?
Have a friend near Raleigh who might be
    selling his.

No, I just got a really clean 78 320i (I was originally looking for an 02 but I couldn't pass this one up) that I am working through getting running after it had sat for 10 years. I just saw this on the side of the road and figured I'd throw it up on the forum in case anyone was looking for one.
    Thanks though!

I stopped by on my way back from VIR today, got a few more pictures that I will post later tonight. Hood was open so I took a quick peak.

    interesting diff. heat sink:

    rear shock/spring:

    front strut/spring:

blue sway bar (only front shown):

    engine:

    oil system and header:

    Alpina wheels?:

other highlights that I did not expressly get on film: Motorsport air dam, Zender rear spoiler (looks like Zender side and rear skirts too), green-to-red Euro tach, 3 gauge dash pod, and slotted front and rear rotors.
