    Speakers sound disorted because...

so heres the deal. i haven't had my car for to long and when i bought it, it was gutted. had no radio or any of the ten speakers.

heres my plan. two mid range and two tweeters up front powered by head unit.

two rear speakers and a 12 inch sub in back running off my amp.

the problem is because the car was gutted, i dont know if there is anything that's suppose to cover the bottom of the rear speakers in the trunk part of the car. the subs rattle them and the compression makes the music sound distorted and i don't like it one bit. does any one know anything i can try to fix this, is my car missing some covers for the speakers.

They should be installed in plastic "bucket" kind of things. Do you have a pic?

well that solves it because theres nothing to take of pic of. you open my truck and you see the bottom of the speakers that sit on that rear shelf. im gonna have to make-shift something to cover them it seems
