You have interest from the other side of the pond too.
Good work, by the way! Always wondered if there was a way of free-ing up the 323 that i abuse every day...

I have for sale plug and play adapters for both M54B25 and M54B30 manifolds to fit them to M52TU :

Bermp!
Found a great deal on a M54 fuel rail and 24#/hr injectors. $100 shipped. Bought an M54 Fuel filter to replace my 120k mile OE filter and delete the ancient 3/2 way valve that regulates the fuel.
Tearing into the manifold and removing the injectors was a cake walk even after two years!
Total cost for the injector upgrade and filter maintenance came to just under $170. Great deals are out there, just have to know where to look! She'll be getting an MS43 DME upgrade in the very, very near future so I can finally run the 330 throttle body. Stay tuned!

Do You think that it'll be any gain of power just after mounting m54b30 injectors ? I don't think so...
Same about thorttle body from B30 ?

A bit late yes, but very interested in the progress since last year. I currently am running a 2001 325ci with the m54b25. Wondering if the m54b30 manifold and throttle body would yield similar results being my power plant is of a m54 variety and probably less restricted on the intake pathway.
Throw some dynos up if you've made the swap over to m54b30 tb and injectors. I would love to see the differences
Jared
Thanks for the bump!
Should have some things sorted out shortly. My jobs have me tied up for 70 hours a week so its pretty hard to find time to work on it.
I have completed the injector and fuel filter conversions. At WOT, I'm dumping a lot of fuel and get something like 270 miles/tank. Not good at the moment. But its not catastrophic. Waiting to get my headers in and then go through with a new baseline to see what the software upgrade can do.

Still not running. Determined that the DME and EWS were from seperate cars. That will allow the car to crank, but it won't fire. Working with the seller to get everything squared away. Hopefully I can get her running and into the shop for some well needed suspension upgrades.

Hi, I have a question, I did this swap into my e39 m52tub30 stroke motor,
I use the TMS Throttle Body adapter, but I cant open my throttle flap 100% (only 80% in max throttle), I adjust the cable to the max and still open at 80%.....
do you have the same issue? Try to do this, asking someone to hit the gas
pedal in to full throttle (with the car in OFF), and you take off the throttle boot and look when you have the gas pedal in full throttle if you can still open a little more your flap......
thanks,

Car won't go 100% with the car off. The DME actuates the WOT function through the MDK.

ummm, I have other e39 with throttle cable, and when I push the gas pedal (when the car is off), the flap open 100% (aka 90 degrees).....
also, I did a data log using the OBD2 port, and in a full throttle, always say, 80%......
so, thats why I asking this, for now, I order a new throttle cable....

Been out of the loop here...but this car will be returning to stock, save the intake manifold and the fuel rail.
The latest project to get the car running 330 software was unsuccessful, so I bought a lightly optioned ZHP to get my jimmies unrustled after driving a Nissan Altima for the last 4 months.
Drove the Mysticblau ZHP cross-country from SLC to Baltimore over an extended weekend. Paid the princely sum of $7500 to a fellow from e46f. Car drives like a dream but came with a host of cosmetic flaws. Most pertain to the front end, but some dings and scratches are present. No matter, I budgeted $2000 to have this car looking and driving like new.
Here's a pic from the capital building in Nebraska.

Car is back to 328i management and started her up for the first time in almost 7 months. She runs rough and probably needs a new battery. Can't drive it due to the dead battery. Wont keep a charge strong enough to allow me to pull jumpers and drive off.
Update to follow this weekend as I'm getting away from work and school for the weekend.
I do plan on making a new thread with clear pictures and detailed instructions for the DIY. I had the manifold out in record time on Wednesday so things are still fresh
Cheers!
Sent from my GS3.

Final chapter has been closed on the project. Returned to stock and sold. Currently driving a ZHP that is a total blast.

lessons learned?
seemed like quite a saga

Yeah...don't Dremel out the throttle body intake point. It should have worked fine but we determined that it was an air leak big enough for the car to start...but not maintain idle. I saved some of the goodies that are now on the ZHP. Huge fan of the pulleys and the intake. Other than that I'm happy with the ZHP. I actually paid $7500 for it which was less than this car that I bought in 2010!
Bottom line: The manifold swap is totally the best mod I did with this car. Really wakes it up when the DISA opens at 4100 rpm.

Hey man, was trying to figure out how to private message you. Are you close to Lancaster, PA? Im looking to do this swap and had a few questions.
Hey, I know this is an old thread (I have a thing for necromancy) but I think it would be a lot easier to also fit the 330 throttle body, acc pedal and ECU, if you're going to do the manifold and injectors upgrade. Personally, I also did the MAF, intake camshaft and airbox from the 330.
I have a complete m54 manifold with disa and injectors i will part with...
Yes you definitely need the M54 MAF and get a tune so that you get optimal gains from thus modification
