Upgrade Progman V32 to version 34 in VMWare

hi, this is normal output from progman,(action plan) it means current version of data
is 6/2007, will be updated to 9/2008.
"EKP and SINE has failed....." -will be cleared in next step, after you confirmed action plan, progman say -hopefully- EKP will be flashed or EKP must be replaced.
in this case check fuses and wiring from EKP (fuell pump ecu), SINE (alarm sirene/horn).

Perhaps somebody can help me.
I have updated with SPV40. But there are 4 SGBD folders in the SP-daten. Where do I need to place them and what name does it need to get ? I could not find them in the V32. I already added the K directories into the d:\\programme\ifs\sp

For what are those 4 sgdb folders and 2 k folders ?

Hi, if you mean the SGBDData-F001,F010,F025.... and SP Daten-K24,K1x
they are for newer models series F -you not need this, and the both Kxx folder you need
only for Motorbikes

I seem to remeber that it said something like correct or replace the following ecu/ecu's and then restart Prgman and select ..

Hi guys.

I just ruined my installation.
I wanted to rename the V32 to V40. But I accidently deleted the Cipconfig.XML before writing down the directory in where it was. It should be in D, so if somebody can tell me the full directory ? It will save me a lot of work

I could not find the system.xml, except in archive. Not in C. So I assume that all version numbers will remain as is for the data files.
Pitty, thought it was possible to show version V40 somehow and also the version numbers from the updated daten files.

But I am aware that this is a trick update, not a real upgrade.

Tomorrow I will try this instance again.

So, ive updated from v32 to v40. Ive used FileZilla Server on SSS. Real easy and fast File Transfer! One Time installed it start as Service. In Administration, Overview, FASTA is Version still 32... but wayne...

Hi,
if you need ALL sp-data, so you can increase the size of the second partition.
- before instal progman-
Extract the "InstCtrl.ini" from base-xp. iso, edit the line 13 -( W=34816),
chnge the size - for example- to W=51200 ,then put the file back in the .iso.
Other volumes not have to be changed.
In wmware settings , set harddisk size to 97 GB (+17GB) and instal progm as usual.
I use this setting since the ista files are so large, without any probs.

Hi, Still not managed to get my 120D up and running, i now have MRS error after trying to reprogram to get VIN with Winkpf, it says wrong config, anyone got the correct files for E87 may 2007 as in SSS prog it asks me to replace parts, also EKP error is there a way to check for power at this module and the fuse or relay that feeds it.

So after updating my Progman and also EDIABAS, DIS and PROGMAN are blocked somehow. And the worst thing is that my backup image was corrupted. So need to find some days to rebuild
Connection with diaghead is available and also the API test is fine. Hopefully a downgrade of EDIABAS will help to get a connection again.

That's a friend magic trick, don't know how he does that, he solder his interface to some pin and a second later voila' the chip is copied to the pc and he can force copy it back.

very interesting I will try it. Just to be sure...my undertsanding is that when upgrading we get the latest software for the vehicle hardware...is that correct? Do we have a bug fix release from where we can understand what we actually need to update in our car?
I mean, sometimes is better to stay with the working software and not messing up with new stuff...

I assume we can also get rid of all the folders containing data for models we do not intend to test in order to keep the VM smaller....deleting these folders does have any negative effect?

I have posted this in one more thread too but no one replied so trying here.

I have updated my v32 with v41 daten file for E60, simple deleted existing E60 folder then copy and paste from E60.iso mounted virtual drive. Before this it wasn't even reading my car but now its reading my car properly. Since I updated Progman daten to v41 my current vehicle data status comes as E060-10-03-501 (v38) and target data status as E060-11-03-501, this can't be right as far as I know my vehicle didn't get any software update , atleast I wasn't told when it was with the dealer last year for almost 4 weeks for stupid ACC problem (under warranty). Also even if it was updated why was earlier daten file was complaining E060-07-03-525, where was this value coming from? Lets assume here that vehicle was updated when it went in for service last year.

When I open my software upgrade measure plan it says nothing about other modules except IHKA, CDC (which is absent, replaced with Dension GW500) and CAS. All other modules appear to not requiring any change. I doubt these are the only 3 items changed between v38 and v41! There could be a few possible reason behind this:

a) My Progman install is faulty or the daten v41 upgrade isn't good
b) I need to remove dension and install CDC to proceed further
c) My car software is up-to date already (very less likely)
d) All other modules were updated with ISTA/P when I visited dealer last time. I have heard that once a module is updated with ISTA/P isn't not possible to upgrade them with Progman again.

What do you guys think, can I please get someone's upgrade measure plan (the list which contains is version and should version list) using v32 with v41 daten file.
