Not yet, I was planning on doing it tonight before I started. I was using v34. My NCS install did not come with any R56 support.
After I copied the v34 daten folder into NCSEXPR I was able to communicate with the car on a limited basis. I have my fingers crossed the v38 files will do the trick. Progman confirmed my car has module firmware updates into late 2009 as I have had it back to the dealer for numerous computer issues (original build is 1/08).
So I tried to get SSS with v38 Daten files for e46 working today. I copied my working virtual machine that has fullstart enabled on from Randomy to allow for DME updating. I tested the copy and it hooked up to my car fine. I then went in and deleted the e46 folders in the SP folder, and replaced them with the ones extracted from Ista V38. The new folders replaced the ones I deleted and when I was finished, the folder structure looked the same. I went and started up SSS and it ran fine but wouldnt connect to the car this time. Do i just need to run changes.iso again to get it to connect properly?
I still get the target data status error on mine even with v38 ISTA files.
that folder wasnt there on the original v32 progman? Ill add it and try. Also once i run changes.iso or changesv2 or fullstart it changes my diag head from EDIC to OPS1? Its been months since I installed this originally, so im a little rusty and forget how i got it to be EDIC
*UPDATE-
I added the konv.tmp folder to the data folder and its working
It turns out that ChangesV2 like David said is for a EDIC interface and Changes is for an OPS. I then went and added Randomys fullstart carcontext.php and diagnosticinterface.php files to it and im back to EDIC interface.

My DME is currently updated to v32, if i had a battery charger i would upgrade it to v38, just need to get a job so i can pay for all this stuff!
So your DME is updated with v32. Hmmm......
Can you maybe check if there is really a DME update if you use the v38 files? I forgot to do that first, so I don't know if v32 update is the same as the v38. Maybe it's only for the newer models.
You can check it without connecting it to a charger, Progman will show you if there is a newer DME version before updating it,after that just cancel it.
It seems that the V32 7571615 is the latest update for my 09/2002 330ci E46. See attached screen shot, i have uploaded the new V38 daten files for e46. Maybe its different for the newer ECUs used in Facelift cars?
So as Im running through the update DME commands, there is a MANUAL update. It lets YOU specify the new Part number for the measures plan! I wonder what the possibilities of this are? Maybe there are some different calibrations out there? I wonder where we could find info on this.
I am updating and see that there is more work folders in some of daten folders.
Should I delete them too?

Is it not better too overwrite all files instead of delete and copy, when you update to v38.

Did you do like darkman #23 instruction to update Progman?
Is there any manual for Progman to download or perhaps its on the install DVD?
Regards

You're right, I tryed to overwrite first But got message "disk full."
After That I copy and paste note with explorer Instead I use total commander.
My system works fine now, I Have not tryed to update my car yet.
I Have to buy a charger Before I try that.
I have read in o
ther forum that if BMW programed cars with ISIS you no longer can use Progman becourse ISIS sets up 64bit system.
They also say that its possible to get Progman use 64bit by "trick " OPS and change the MB on SSS station.
Is it possible that Diaghead V1.2 are doing this?
What do you think.....
I tried Progman on E93 -07 last night and it didn’t find the car.
This workshop use original GT1 and Progman 31 with OPPS head.
They couldn’t update the car be course Progman wanted newer version of Progman.
They said that BMW changed the cable from OPPS to the car 2007.
Is the pin out in the diagnostic head changed?
Or is it something I forget i Progman installation?

I just updated a 2007 E90's DME with the D-CAN interface and the progman with v38 files, everything worked updating the firmware to the 06-2010 version, it unlocked 2 more units too. But i did an hardcopy of the DME and recovered it after the update because some errors appeared in some others units and couldn't risk to brick client car updating everything. Someone tried it? Is it safe?
I need so much help doing this. Im using vmware but seem to be stuck on an older version of sss. How can I get it to 34? does my inpa or dis versions affect this?
who wants to make some easy money?? im desperate lol
Can SSS V31 be updated with V38 files without an issue?
