Well, the car has got new shocks springs in it. Its been driven for a about 100 km, all good. Today put new front discs and pads, also new outer tierod ends. Took for a drive all good to begin with then I hear a strange knocking sound from the front left everytime I break. Ive had the wheel off and looked all looks fine. Any ideas???
mmm best hing to do is pull off the tire on taht side and make sure all suspension parts are tight, wiggle stuff around and check for looseness
that is on top of the strut inside the spring.
Yep it is exactly pipe wrench size.

Well I think Ive tracked it down, stuck the old disc and pads in, NO noise. Then swapped the disk with the old pads still in. NO Noise. So it looks like the pads. I checkd and cleaned the edges of the pads backing material in case they werent sliding nicely.
Put them in, took for a drive, good, and then it came back, so I started pushing the car harder on the brakes etc. The noise actually got better and now it appears fine. I cant really work out what was wrong, (it braked fine at all times) Im wondering did the pads just need to be settled down?, was the ABS grabing a little with the new pads?
Any ideas? Anyone else had this? It all appears good. Ive given it a good run and stomped on the brakes hard 2 or 3 times, just the ussual ABS things happining.
