    No obd2 plug under dash?

I just opened the little obd door under the dash, and all that is there is an empty bracket! There isn't any sign of cut wires, etc. Is there supposed to be a regular OBD plug there? If so, why would the PO move/ remove it?

It may be dangling down behind the knee bolster. You'll have to remove that if you want to find out.

Yea, as Neil said. you should remove the underpanels to expose the wiring harnesses under the steering wheel and try to find the port inside there.

a previous owner could have relocated it or possibly used a OBD2 monitor somewhere and routed the wires behind the dash so it looks cleaner.

Yeah it'll be back there. I've accidentally pushed it all the way back when re-installing my knee bolster.
