    1998 BMW Z3 Roadster 1.9 $7450 very good condition

    [sold 8/17/2010 $6950]

    1998 BMW Z3 Roadster

    Mileage: 133,500
    Engine: 1.9 liter
    Transmission: 5-speed manual
    Exterior color: Arctic Silver
    Interior color: Black
    Production date: Mar, 1998
Last 7 digits of VIN: LE08630

Very good condition, excellent fuel economy and great fun to drive. I have owned it since 2004/50,000 miles. I have maintained it meticulously and have all service records since my purchase. I have changed the engine oil every 3000 miles, transmission and differential lubricants every 30,000 miles, coolant every 2-3 years, brake fluid every 30,000 miles, using high-quality fluids and synthetic lubricants (with the plan of enabling it to reach 200,000 miles or more without major problems).

Interior and exterior are in very good condition except that the drivers side floor mat needs replacing.

If you have never owned a BMW before (this was my first), you will be pleased by the handling and the fun factor of “The Ultimate Driving Machine.” I have found the car to be reliable and easy to work on, with parts readily available and not particularly expensive.

Garaged. Non-smoker. No accidents. Clean title in hand.

    Standard Features:
    - Air conditioning
    - Driver & passenger air bags
    - Anti-lock brakes (ABS)
    - Active Stability Control (ASC)
    - Cruise control
    - Adjustable power seats
    - Power windows
    - Power exterior mirrors

    Included Optional Features:
    - Heated leather seats (great for top-down driving in cooler weather)
    - Onboard computer (shows gas mileage, outside temperature, etc.)
    - Fog lights
    - Upgraded wheels

    Modifications:
    - H&R sway bars Jan 2007 (improved handling; I have the originals if you want them)
    - Rear subframe bushing inserts (improved handling, eliminates “tramlining”)
    - Powerchip installed August 2006 (adds about 17 hp)
    - Daytime running lights (just a simple plug-in relay module)
    - Upgraded OEM stereo head unit (newer factory/BMW unit with CD player & more power)
    - Alpine Type-X speakers (better sound, maintains stock appearance)
    - Trunk lift handle, chrome
    - Koni Sport shocks (adjustable, rebuildable) Mar 2010

I have fixed the usual minor problem areas on this model:
    - Replaced seat bushings with upgraded parts
    - Reinforced glove box latch
    - Reinforced seat belt guides
    - Reinforced rear sway bar mounts
    - Replaced rear shock mounts with upgraded parts

    Included:
    - Service history
    - Owners Manual
    - Radio Code
    - 3 keys
    - Koni shock/strut adjusters
    - Touch-up paint

For the driving that I do (70% highway), this car has been averaging 28.7 mpg over the last several months.
