Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

We doing it all big time old school very soon.

    Connecting and extending the 325i wiring harness, to a second 325i harness, and to the e21 323i harness inside the car;

M20 323i 3.0 Liter next to older brother V8 E30 Hellarot machine - its been a full featured car.

3.0 Lump its gonna be actually turned over soon, after we finish this wiring and tucking. The coil and expansion bottle will be tucked...

And if anyone wants to purchase an MK2 VR6 that I built please PM me, I am getting an E46 M3 and the old golf is for sale....Peace brothers.

2016 is the year we take back the old glory and make some shows....

AH Yes! Thank you for asking Midlifebmw and others...

There will be a number of youtube videos. We are gonna be firing up this baby soon. Just playing with the wiring harnesses to shave the bay. Next its startup, coolant, and radiator, which I have made already.
Then fitting the GAZ coil overs, and the BBS RMs.
I recently had a custom 3.45 medium case diff built to run on the car. Here are a couple of pics. the plan is to put this in AFTER we get the car running....I have modified the rear subframe to accept it.

Been working hard, we getting very close now. Have to figure out where to put an 02 sensor in the e21 ANSA headers or Ansa Center resonator. Any suggestions?

Thats was an MK2 VR6 Swapped golf that I sold for my E46 Interlagous Blue M3.
We are tweaking the 3.0 M20 swap wiring and expect to be done soon:

Aren't you using an M20 wiring harness? That should tell you far down the pipes you can mount it. Keep in mind the routing it would have followed on an E30. On an E30 I think it's a little upstream of where the bellhousing meets the block. I think that's where mine is. Are you going to be running a wideband sensor too?

Last time I saw your car it had the 2.3 with CIS injection in it. That does not need an 02 sensor.
Yes I am most likely make a provision on one side of my downpipes off the headers. Yes I am going to run the wideband in it for tuning, then replace it with the 02 sensor.
    See you at Bav Auto.

Now it's got a 2.8L that I built from a 1988 325i - Eta crank, i rods, 18.25# injectors, and custom pistons. I have the Bosch 1.3 ECU and harness. You can check it out at Bav. IIRC, you're running MS?

I forgot to take a pic or measurements today but the factory O2 sensor is about 4 inches down from the factory exhaust manifold flange. And I have a separate wideband in the other bank for the Innovate LM-1.

Doug I am wondering why you are not running the 173 ECU? I am Miller War CHIP and Miller MAF on 173 ECU, for now.
I am going to go either DIYAUTOTune E30 325i Megasquirt, or another type of full stand alone.....Not there yet.

I am glad to hear you car is a little peppier now....the Eta crank is 81mm cast, the 524td crank 81mm is forged.

Do you still have the old engine - if so I am looking for the metal arms that go from the block to the subframe,
    and the oil filter housing.

Then there are S50 crank 86 mm, and S52 89 mm crank to make stroker engines.
My engine uses the S50 rods with the S50 crank, and the top end is build to the max.

    2.9 M20 into the 323i

I am using the 173 ECU too. It's Bosch Motronic 1.3. I'm using Tunerpro to make my changes. It's working OK. I may end up with a MAF too.

I also used the original motor mount arms and the original oil filter stud on the new engine. I have a E30 oil cooler to mount too.

You should contact WhoDWho on R3v if you end up going megasquirt. He makes a PnP ecu for the e30 and the price is good too. He can also configure it for your specific setup too. I like helping out forum members over businesses any time I can.

The Miller Maf and War Chip that I have are gonna get dumped. I am going full stand alone, and most likely ITBs.

I am shooting to bring the E46 M3 to the show but I do have been waiting on the title.

Yes I have been informed about WHODWHO but the DIYAUTOTUNE Megasquirt Module is plug and play. It plugs directly where the ECU is.
I am considering that or maybe a more expensive custom full stand alone setup.

I have an extra older gen Electromotive Tec setup for another m30. I'm sure you could make it work. Make me an offer if you want to give it a try. I have one running a 4l m30.

Let me get back to you after the show, I am gonna talk to my friend running the DIYAUTOTUNE Megasquirt ECU on his 3.1 m20.

The WHODWHO Megasquirt is plug and play (PnP) as well and usually cheaper than DIYAUTOTUNE. He even sets it up exactly how you need it to be. He builds them inside stock ECU cases so they mount right up in OEM location and the stock harness plugs right in.

Yes but I dont know, I was told that for a bucks more - I could get the DIYAUTOTune one - I am more concerned about tunning it after that module is purchased.
How do you know so much about WHODWHO did you get one from him? How is it tuned??

It's the exact same thing. Keith (WHODWHO) just builds it himself instead of diyautotune. And yes I am running a full MS2 megasquirt ecu from WHODWHO plug and play directly into the e30 harness I am running on my m20 turbo swap. Tuning is done through Tunerstudio just like any other megasquirt ecu. He customized the ecu for me specifically to my setup for no extra charge. Including boost controller, e-fan control, correct injector size, launch control, etc.

Hello 2002JM. Hello My e21 Brothers!!! My 323i has been stalled due to the fact I shaved the bay and relocated the E21 fuse box to inside the car and tried to extend the e30 engine harness to connect it to the e21 one.
After too long 7 years, I took the 323i down to a different shop in CT. The first shop just could not finish this car. I am selling the Miller Maf and Miller war chip, and have got a DIY AUTOTUNE E30 PNP Megasquirt ECU.
The new wiring harness looks very clean was custom made, and here is a picture of the harness installed.
WE are now trying to fix the e30 fuel pump wiring that resides in the fuel tank that has to be rewired with the correct E30 pigtails.
I should have start up and have this car finished off soon with Megasquirt. I dont have to run the clunky E30 air box/flapper or miller MAF with Megasquirt!
All you need is a simple sensor.

I have a different radiator that has been worked on to be like 323i that I will be using. The one in the car right now is just for mock up reasons...

Yes we are wanting and really trying to get this car finished. It has a custom Subframe - to hold the Medium case diff and I am going to install it.
I bid on three different Hartge valve covers -on ebay - one of them it got out bid on the last second! It was black when I first found it, I came
on the idea about making red and getting it milled down a while ago.

I have a special rare ZF Sports steering rack that I have never drove with and I have installed it. It has a special quick ratio turning radius.

I will make a few videos of it running.....and racing my friend's M50 swapped E21...

Was really sad to hear that the Show and Shine and Bav Auto is gone. - Sadly Bav Auto has closed
I Modified the e30 ebay radiator's outlets to be in the stock 323i configuration

Dropped off all the M5 Diff, the dual mounting cover, the Special rear subframe that has the provision for the e30 diff center chopped in. Wiring is also done wth a new fuse box. Will post pics after the diff is installed....
