    hello- new owner

    hello- ive just bought my first beemer :-) its a 318 e46.. i have a few questions.. does my car have a cambelt or chain? also i need a maf/afm for my car are they expensive,whats the best place to get one?

    We are mostly the I6 crew, the 318 is the red headed step child lol. I would imagine chain tho like the I6.

    New MAF sensor is pretty expensive. How do you know you need a new one? What are the codes?

    I am new also ,my first BMW is a 1995 e34 540i .120,000 Black with tan and stock 15's that i hate LOL
    Cant post pics intell you hit the 25 post mark i was told.

    technically, the SOHC engines of modern day BMW are the M10, M20, M30, M40 and M43.
    only the "baby six" M20 and the M40 I4 had a timing belt.

    his engine is the M43

    ExAlfa, where did you get a European only car in Alabama?
