I'm sad to see it go!
You did a great job on the build.

You're more than welcome to stop by. I have the bulk of the frame tack'd together. Enough that the motor/trans is in place, pedals temp'd in, and you can sit in it. And it would be a good idea for you to do that. They are tiny cars. I built my frame size to fit both my long engine and my "Not To Scale" self. You'll be able to see where you need to stretch/shrink some of the dimensions.
Bring a jump drive and a note pad, and I'll load you up.
And it's gone to its new owner
he's driving it back up to to Seattle
it's bitter sweet, excited about new project but going to miss this one :-\
Say it ain't so!
That was fast!

that is sweet it sold so fast, did you get close to your asking price for it?
Dang it! If you got close to your asking price that would be Awesome!
If you dont mind me asking, how much did you end up getting for it? As everyone else is, I'm sad to see it go, but I'm always happy to see another project =)
***Hurry up and unveil the new project!!!!!!***
Wow, this all happened in a blink of an eye! Cant wait to see the new project
I'd love to follow the build progress on the new one. I think I know what it is and it will be awesome.
I really do need to get that from you... I really only use it at autocross and now that it's over for the year I wont have much use for it until sometime in March of next year... I'll have to hit you up for it one of these days and get it back from you
The buyer and I agreed on $15,850, a good number for both of us. It's always fun selling a specialty car, you'd rather see something you've spent so much time on go to someone that is going to enjoy it rather then grind out the last dollar.
I churned through my income and expenses for next year (ugh, how responsible of me) and it looks like next year is going to entail two projects that i'm currently finalizing before I jump into.
first is going to be strictly a race car - lotus/locost rep with an s2000 F20C motor setup for d-mod in scca autox and ST2 in NASA
second is an e46 awd wagon that i'm probably going to do an M57 swap on for a versatile daily driver and tow rig for the lotus. I miss the mileage and general drivability of a diesel and want to get back into one without sacrificing the comfort I've expected from my past bmw's. that and the M57 swap looks like more or less a plug and play affair if I can get all of the euro parts
I'll of course be keeping build threads on both of them, the second being done here probably, not that most people get excited about diesels unless they're crazy like me. I'll probably keep my locost build over on locostusa but i'll throw a link in my sig here for anyone that wants to follow along. It wont go as quickly as my m3 swap did but I want it driving by the first event which will be mid-late March of next year, aka about 4.5 months from now.
There was a nice white wagon at the airport that sounded AWESOME and had a wonderful stance. I think you'll like a hopped up wagon!

Damn, got to the end of the thread and it was like someone shot old Yeller...
Ancient history now, so going to see what else you have been up to. You write a hell of good ongoing narrative about what, why and how Sir!!
QuattroFest is November at PIR with Audi Club NW where a third of us drive some sort of track prepped 3 series 😀...if some folks are interested?
