Nice work
So who was the lucky winner at $61?
I like the unicorns.
'99 Z3 Coupe - Jet Black/Black (1-of-114)
'99 M Coupe - Estoril Blue/Black (1-of-82)
'03 540iT - Sterling Gray/Black (1-of-24)
'16 Z4 sDrive35i - Estoril Blue/Walnut (1-of-8)
I was lucky enough to get this one. I'm excited to see it.
Thanks to the seller.
$61 for that... rofl
OP, any chance you can work on illuminated door sills?
Wow, disappointed at that price point.
The OP of course has the right to charge whatever he wants; this is the US after all. That being said I don't think he'll sell nearly as many as he could've if he priced it about $30 lower. At $30-$35 shipped this becomes an easy decision but if it's going to be over $50 it gets bumped way down on the list of things I want.....
Someone should talk to a High School shop class that has the ability to program patterns into their lathes; you might be able to get these done for a little over cost of materials.
First, Jesus Freak, thank you so much for your support. I'll ship it out Monday and will anxiously await your feedback.
Thanks everyone for the positive responses and criticisms. It was not my original intention to sell anything, so the final price point is still a decision I need to make. In the end, if you don't like the price point, you don't have to buy it.
But you also have to understand there are costs with manufacturing items such as this, outside of cost of raw materials, electricity, etc. Man power hours, in design nd quality control also must be taken into account. I have been working very hard in refining the process, as I would not think of selling something that is not the highest of quality.
I have made a request to the forum admin to see if I can vend through the forum. In the meantime, I am further developing this opportunity. I plan on offering the product at different price levels to meet the buyers' budget, needs and skill set.
I am not out here to rake in money. I am working to produce a product for my fellow enthusiasts, while making it cost effective for me to do so.
Thanks again. I'll keep you posted with my developments. Feel free to PM.
The dock came in today. It looks sweet! My only question is what are the pins that came with it for? Do you have install pics? It's in the car now, just not hooked up because my carputer setup isn't finished.
Glad to hear you got it ok.
The standoffs are to prevent the dock from being pushed too far into the ashtray compartment. I just put a drop of hot glue on each and put them in the corners, its such a tight fit that they probably arnt necessary but I put them in just in case. Unfortunately I didnt take any install pics.
Josh

Does it get in the way of shifting?
How does this work with integration into the stock stereo equipment? I would assume that this is just the dock and an integration kit such as DICE or similar would still be required for proper install?
Product looks sweet btw, just dont know if I can squeeze the integration unit right now on my budget!!
Great Job OP!

I am working on the ///M, would you want the logo to be clear or colored?
I have confirmed fitment with iphone 2g/3g/3gs/4g and ipod classic 60GB
I have a 6 spd and there is a good amount of space in between and it is lower, I would imagine it would be the same for auto.
I went the cheap way and wired it into the aux input, so I have to use the phone itself to control. I just used some pins in the phone wiring harness to get the audio back to the trunk where it goes to the radio. I am thinking about making a plug-and-play kit for this if there is intrest.
otherwise you could use your choice of ipod integration system.
I'll look into it.
