I've got non-smiley projectors in my iX already. What exactly do the smilies do that these don't, other than make everyone happy...

I'd be interested in this as well... it's cheaper than buying a set of US ellipsoids.

If they have a warranty on them, I will probably buy a set sooner or later. Wonder if it is plug and play...

Most likely, they are Depo. If they are, save yourself money and buy them on ebay. You can find them cheaper.

There is a lot of animosity towards depo lights. I do not share that opinion. Sure, you get what you pay for, but they are not the Devil like most people make them out to be.

You should email them and ask what brand they are. I am interested to know as well.....

Primary difference between US and Euro Smiley ellipsoids is the kind of bulbs they use. The Euro version uses a brighter H1 bulb. Also the Euro has a (IMO) superior beam pattern.

As for the lights the OP asked about. I would find out what bulbs they use. If they are the 9005/9006 US bulbs, I would punt on them. You'd be better off with an H4/H1 conversion.

I did a little research. I emailed the seller of the ebay headlights... these... and asked him who the manufacturer was, warranty, and whether it comes with bulbs and adapters.

He said it does not come with the bulbs, does come with the adapters, and has a one year warranty.. satisfaction guaranteed or my money back. He said the manufacturer was DEPO.

I emailed pelican about their product... these right here... and copy and pasted what i said to the ebay seller; who was the manufacturer, does it come with a warranty or bulbs, etc.

He said "according to the manufacturer these come with necessary adapters and bulbs for the high and low beams". Didn't tell me who made them or if they come with a warranty.

So right now I'm leaning towards the DEPO's on ebay...
