Is it still for sale?
What original wheels came w/it & do you still have them?
Do you have owner's manual / window sticker, etc?
Heated seats?
Fold-down rears?
For $10,500, you'd have the stock susp back on it...? What are the spring rates & what are stock rates? This will be a DD car, so I'm trying to get an idea of how stiff it really is...
thanks,
Robby
your mom...
has got a hella nice e92... she a member as well? lol
| 95 e36 M3-sold POS | 98 e36 M3-track rat RIP ;( | 90 NA Eunos-lookatme car |
woah sorry for the late reply guys (if it is?)
havent checked thread in a while it was fading out thought it was dead.
anyways. yea my moms e92 is awesome (fun to drive and look at lol)...but she isnt a member, I doubt she even knows what a forum is...
AS for the spring rates: Its what G-C refers to as a bachelor, which is the stiffest of their 3 spring rates off the shelf. I drove an s2000 on ~800 rates and I loved that so I was going for stiff, but this is hardly stiffer than stock. Its a really nice ride. Dont quote me youd have to call and ask them, but I think the front rates are like ~600, and rears are ~400. W/o suspension Id accept 9.5, 11.5 with at this point.
Oh and original wheels
fold down seats YES
heated from seats YES
power front seats NO
original owners manual YES
sticker? I have a static cling that says Chicago BMW club or something like that in the window...id have to go look at what it says, idk what sticker youre talking about tho.
Shoot, youre from knoxville, I was gonna drive it to Import alliance this weekend in nashville but decided not to. Coulda looked at it lol

Thanks for the info- sounds like a great car- I'm still interested. To be honest, I was looking for a white w/grey w/somewhere in the 50k to 75k mile range. I'm not the best wrencher & want this to be a very reliable DD. Not that 113k is really high & I really have always loved this car in estoril blue.
The window sticker is the window sticker you get on a car when it's brand new- you know, at the dealer w/the price, options, etc. It's funny the weird little traits that car owners seem to have. 951 guys often save their window stickers, but many of the e36 M3 guys do not. Oh well- I wouldn't let the lack of a window sticker keep me from buying an otherwise nice car.
So, those are FULL MANUAL front seats, but heated? That's perfect! Do the stock wheels & stock susp parts come w/the car (in addition to aftermarket stuff) for the $11.5k...?
How close to Nashville are you, anyway? I'm ~2.5hrs
11.5 Will get you wheels and stock suspension. Ill tell you what It has and doesnt have that I can think of. It has the upgraded HK sound system, which is really awesome. Upgraded to digital climate control. Its wired for keyless entry, It just needs the keyfob and to be activated by a dealership I think. Both of the heated seats work perfect. Brand new black oem m3 floormats. All original owners manuals and the sticker you want MIGHT be in there Id have to check. I got all the service papers up to like 110k from BMW knauz dealership. As for you worrying about wrenching on it...Ive had it on a lift several times changing fluids and putting the suspension on, the car is in immaculate shape Ive never had a single problem with it. It runs great. AC is perfect in it as well. Im in Nashville right now for import alliance and Its about an 8hr drive door to door. If youre interested we could possibly work something out like meeting half way.
Oh it looks like i meant all you get is stock suspension. No 11.5 will get you everything I meant.

Cool- Do you have the car w/you in Nashville now or do you mean meat halfway at a later date? BTW- how many posts before one can PM anyway?
^Another E36 M3 in Knoxville! DO eeet!
Im able to meet half way some time soon if youre serious about the purchase. I do not have it with me, I'm in Michigan now anyways we left IA at 4pm today.
Nice car! Wish this was FS a year ago..
BTW, if there is a BMW horn under the hood, and an LED in front of the shifter you can just buy a fob off of ebay for like $30 and pair it to the car yourself. The procedure is very simple at takes less than 5 minutes.
A dealer will charge you $100 for the fob and another $100 in labor to pair it.
I'm trying to get a pre-approved loan, since I've been looking pretty seriously for the last few weeks- need to have $ in-hand before planning a meet from that far away- need to have $ anyway, to know how much I have to work with, etc... I was looking for slightly lower mileage & a white ext, but I love the estoril blue w/dove grey, & your's has some cool things on it, so I'm considering it. I'm turning my loan app in tommorrow- not sure how long it will take, but I'll get back in touch in a few days... Hey, what are those little circular things on the vents? I can't quite tell from the pics.
thanks,
Robby

bump, any news?
Not yet- was slightly delayed by a couple days, but did drop off loan app...

"interested as well, is car still for sale? how do you pm on this thing?"
Well, it's funny you ask... Apparently, you have to have ~15 posts before you're allowed. I just found this out, so...
Thanks,
Robby
