Edwin's East Coast Round Up in New Hope, PA June 13th **PICS THREAD**

So, I had the pleasure of driving from Toronto, Canada to Poughkeepsie, NY to Middletown, PA to New Hope, PA and back, got to meet a great bunch of you and pay homage to our E38 'Guru', Edwin.

Here are some pics I took along the way, please feel free to add your own to this thread!

    Tanker reflection shot!

The speed I was doing majority of the time while solo driving

    I'd give the NY & PA roads a 4 out of 10

    But the scenery was great!

    Lots-O-Bugs

Ahh, some rolling shots of Harman (740fizza)

And here are a few of The AwesomeIsLuke

    Can you say Connected?

    Some 7/11 action

Dunkin Donut parking lot before heading out to New Hope

(Hardeep to Luke: We have to keep it Silver/Black/Silver OK? )

No, my e38 which if you saw in person you would see that they compliment the look, which is more on the sporty side. I get all compliments.

Hey, the rest of the car is beautiful, I have seen plenty of pictures of it. And as I said, you can do anything you want to your own car, but those are plastic covers!!! I think the cheapen the look of your car myself.

I tell you what, I had Am3n powder coat some OEM calipers for me. This was before I started getting my powder coating rig up and running. If you like how mine came out, I will powder coat my current set and mail them to you if you will put them on. No cost, just send me back your old ones. Your car looks too good to have plastic covers IMHO.

I planned on starting a UVC (Ugly Valve Cover) Syndrome chain where I would exchange PCed valve covers for people, but I can see there is also a need for calipers. Seeings as I will have a spare set of calipers I can start there.. Luke would be lined up after you then I will start a private list.

Again, do what you like, I am offering because I want to see all the 7ers look nice on the road and I can help with this. You certainly have contributed well to the community so it's not charity, I just want to help us all look a little better.

Lol. In all actuality they don't look plastic at all, but IMO they have a more appealing look than the painted ones. I'm not into the painted look... It has a dull finish, and whenever I've seen them on people's cars I have ed.
My friend Richie owns a zo6 and has the same car/caliper color, and didn't even know they were covers until he squatted down and touched one. But that's besides the point... I'm just sayin' to each their own I guess.
If my car looks different than cool, I'm doing my job so by all means look a little better, but my car's gonna look a little different... Thanks for the compliment. And I will take you up on the valve cover swap, if you can work with pre-vanos covers.

Absolutely. The UVC Syndrome program won't go into effect until I get an oven large enough to bake the VC's in. Also, I need to get a starter set of covers. That should not be too difficult. This weekend I am swamped, but I hope to have the PC rig done by next weekend. With any luck, Am3n will send my calipers by then as well.

Anybody seen him around? I know he was busy, but he has kinda disappeared...

Anyway, once I get everything setup I will solicit for a starter set of VC's and go from there. If you can find a spare set let me know.

And I am not painting, I am Powder Coating.. High Glossy finish. No dull finished unless that is what you want....

Yeah I have people, so I should come up with some spares.

Ahhh ya, whatever looks like a nice finish... Then I really have to keep the bay clean. When Edwin saw my dirty engine bay, he gave me one demerit.

The ride was great! The E38 was solid the whole way to the States. My 8.5 hr journey to 740fizza's place truly felt like I was driving for 2 hours or so.
