    Wink Sr20det 318i E36

    Hi all,

wanting to know what front end set ups there are around!
i am getting into the drift scene with my 318i, wanting pretty big lock with a decent amount of camber, its on coilovers, what camber tops would you recommend? keeping in mind i am in AUS.

on another note the beema has popped its 3rd diff time to get a 1.5 way kaaz. The sr20det engine is too much for the bmw diffs.

    Cheers,
    Christian

light weight and good power = great balance car, post some drift videos pleace.

as for the cambers tops im not running any, i just add some washers and bigger bolts to the strut mounting point to add about 2.5 of neg camber.

Iam runing Ireland engineering camber plates, quality is not the best but they get the job done. I think Ground Control makes some of the best camber plates on the
    Market

yeah the Small case diff can't handle shit, the medium is pretty tough. Pull a diff from a 6cyl E36 and install that.

I had Ground control camber plates. They were great, camber and caster adjustable. I used to run -2.75 camber on my e36. Car turned in awesome.

Yea, the 4cyl BMW made like 238hp, not 250, just get the 6cyl diff and you'll never break it.

Also if you want big angle and more camber, see the link in my sig!

I think you mean like 138hp, not 238

Don't the E36 318s have ~140hp stock? Definitely not ready for the power/tq of an SR anything..

Medium case diff time (or keep changing the baby ones )

    Thanks all for the replies!

I have purchased an e36 m3 rear end - as in hub to hub the whole thing, and that will be going in next week.

and about the sr - i used the standard sr mounts! they do fit - and it is pushing 250hp on 13.5 psi.. about to get a nistune to push it to 200-205kw
    Turbo, injectors, plenum are next.

I am looking for around 3-4 degrees of camber without too severe toe!
GC camber tops ?? Positive Negatives of them??

    Cheers,
    Christian

    no more broken diffs!

but now your rear brakes will be better than your fronts (if your still stock)

    Already fully fabbed sump

And yeah i'm quite shocked too... although don't want to see the prices on an upgraded rad for it.. myself and wallet will cringe.
