Realized I installed my used Bosch Fuel Pump and not the new one both in new boxes, waited to get the new copper sealing washers that seal the banjo metal fuel line to the fuel pump-not a common size being 1.5mm thick.. Anyway the used pump is good. Also got the sealing washers to the Warm up regulator to have on hand. Install the new Bosch fuel pump tomorrow.

This morning my brothers and I did a few laps at VIR for charity.
The fastest I could get it was 7k rpm in fourth gear (5 speed, 3.91 LSD) on the back straight. My needle ends at 85 so if anyone has any idea what that is in miles per hour please feel free to chime in as I have no idea

Installed the New Bosch Fuel Pump( exchanged for older one) and New Bosch Fuel Filter, old fuel filter less than 1 yr old, yet new filter is recommended.

I came up with 123 mph if you have 185/70-13 tires on the turbina wheels. That's quite a distorted picture. What type of lens was used or how did it get that way?

There was a photography group up there who gave a free print to everyone participating. I assume because the photographers were taking a picture of every single car they must have had trouble getting the focus right for a few.
Our dad came with us and took some pictures from the oak tree turn and the paddock near the timing booth. I'll see if I can post a couple when I get them.
These are ring terminals I just bought that fit the small and larger studs on the Main Fuel Pump, what I prefer about these they are both 16-14 AWG, the smaller ring terminal once the plastic insulation is removed has a removable-reinstall able wire guide tube that is crimp able.

You stuck that big-ole front end in our faces and went to talking about crossmember...I don't see a crossmember, but I sure do like the front end of your car...NICE!

I just bought mine today, so gave it a good washing to see what I'm up against!
In the middle of hunting down parts, I used some Glare compound and polish to bring back the finish quite a bit! It was a very sunny day, so a nice time for a little bit of cleanup. Serious mechanical stuff to start soon!.
Got these at Sears today $8.65 out the door plus a bunch of coupons some of Sears goodies will surprise ya , these are for those Hex Situations. I have a Husky Set cost twice as much, both with lifetime warranty, I dont want to have 8 mm CV bolt left in or left out because of a cracked or broken tool and have to hassle up a replacement on the fly, plus wear factors.

Got out my $9.95, "POPS-O-DENT" tool that I bought years ago for some reason, and tried it out on some small dimples in the car's sheet metal. It actually works pretty well if you take your time. John
I took it over to the local independent guy that specializes in older BMWs. Gonna get it to at least stop and go before I dig in on other stuff!
Got out the clay bar in an attempt to re-hap the alpine weiss paint a bit. Shines up well for a 33 year old paint job.
Just got this in and installed from Germany, New. Its the 17 degree Celsius Switch that part of Open/Closed Loop Lambda System. This part was sent from BMW Dingolfing, DE.
