Batter Kill Switch Wiring Directions/Requirements on Dash (E46 M3)

I have seen some cars with a kill switch mounted on the dash as opposed to the traditional setup on the B piller bar. Can the folks here help me put together the wiring directions to wire the battery kill switch and the needed parts.

    Requirements

    - Kill switch @ what amp?
    - Where to buy switch?

    anyone????

Still looking for some feedback on this...please help.

    :bump:

I used a Sparco 6 pole kill switch, similar to this one: http://www.ogracing.com/catalog/2-Ca...OLE-KILLSWITCH

Off the top of my head, there's a cable going directly from the battery to one pole, and then on the other pole that battery cable continues(to fuse box?) and there's also the alternator charge wire. Then on the 2 NO(Normally open) poles a green wire from my ignition is interrupted. The 2 NC(Normally closed) poles are unused.

I have the 4-pole switch from bimmerworld, bought (2) 4' pre made battery cables from Ace hardware and a few feet of 12 gauge wire. I mounted the switch in the vent above the headlight switch, just made a nice backing plate from sheet metal so it is rigid. I spliced into the battery cable under the hood where the jump terminals are, just to keep it simple. Just run the battery cable through the switch, and then the green ignition wire through the switch, dundee. NASA tech guy said it was primo.http://www.flickr.com/photos/1982719...n/photostream/

if you use one of those you can put disconnect switches in many different places without having to drag battery cable (i.e. extra weight) around to an awkward area.
