I think I win with 156k, and I have done nothing to it so far but I have only had it for 4 months. I just drove it an hour ago and I have a shutter taking off. I need to check my flex joint and cv shafts. Hopefully its just a flex joint.

    what car?
I previously posted and i'm now at 76k...

I just did the Upper and Lower radiator hoses, Idler, Tensioner, Temp Sensor, and New TMS PP set and that's it for the new stuff.

I just ordered from TMS a new OEM Clutch Kit, Guibo, Fuel Pump & Filter and Full Rear Suspension Package with SS Clutch Line. I'm also about to order a new pilot bearing and rear main seal...don't ask how much that all was LOL

    2001, 132k (bought with 58k)

Big wear items, and non-wear items:
    - clutch
    - brakes
    - throttle position sensor
    - exhaust cam position sensor
    - rotation rate sensor (yaw sensor)
    - rear main seal (oil pan gasket is now leaking)
    - sunroof clip (x2)
    - hood latch
    - power steering hoses
    - belts (x2 or x3)
    - battery
    - guibo

    Currently broken/annoyances:
    - trunk handle
    - all fabric on pillars peeled off (car sits in the sun all the time)
    - water leak through windshield
    - windshield bottom trim worn (will replace when windshield is replaced)
    - cracked fog lamp
    - groaning from diff (need to try a fresh fluid change, lock to lock on steering)

It was my daily driver for over 5 years. It's only the ultimate driving machine when you're driving it, afterall :-)

Now, unfortunately, I'm getting ready to fix it up to sell it!

I have 160k on my 02. Bought it off a family member's 2-year lease with 99k (he drove....a lot). I've just had to do regular maintenance items and its been fine so far. Always garaged, never raced or beat on, etc.

Check e46fanatics for this topic, there is a HUGE thread about high mileage SMG's and I think there is another thread about non-SMG cars as well.

Just wanted to know if you always run 93 oct gas with this shark injector program. Do you also use 91 oct gas. I plan to install this prog in my E46 M3 but I can't always find 93 oct gas here in Quebec.

    Thank you

    130k here.

I DD the car and track it as much as I can.

I've replaced RTABs/FCABs/ steering column guibo.

The cooling system went at around 100k (which is always about when they go on BMWs).

    Clutch around 120k.

Also replaced brakes and suspension but that was more of a mod than anything.

Other than that just a few minor issue like a broken window switch or the fabric falling off an A-pilar.

Only major issue was the rear frame (pics and story here)
$4000 but taken care of by BMW NA.

I'm thinking about replacing the wheel bearings, just as a preventive measure.

The car runs strong, 288whp/239wtq at 125k (which is no less than 200 000 km!!) and is just great all around.

    I love this car!

My shark injector is set up to run at 93 octane. You can get your shark injector custom made by jim for the right amount of octane. Pretty much the whole software is programmable.

How about an update on this. Who has crossed a serious mileage mark? Any new issues with the car?

I'm curious about the giubo's life span. How long are these lasting?

I am at 96k now, and I have done the regular services every year.

The couple of items I had to replace already:
    1) CPV gasket, it started to leak a couple of years back.
    2) Passenger side A-pillar trim. From reading others comments, this seems common.
    3) VANOS. The dealership replaced it a 45k under warranty, and now I had it rebuilt because I hear a rattle around 2k-2.5k Funny enough the noise is still there even with all of Dr. VANOS anti-rattle stuff in place, so the search continues.
    4) Tires, well that is to be expected as in I bought the car with 62k on it, fairly new tires in the front and about 2mm-2.5mm on the backs. Drove on that for about a year and replaced them. This summer purchased all new Pilot Sport 4's and I really like them.
    5) Brakes - replace all corners with ECS Tuning Slotted Geo-met rotors. Okay I am not happy with these, and they warped out in 3k of driving. Yes I did break them in properly, and after a couple of 170MPH runs on the autobahn, they are now crap. I am going to the BMW cross drill rotors now, while they are a bit more, I get a 2 year warranty on them, ECS Tuning says no warranty on rotors, what a load of crap.

That's about it for the past 7 years of ownership, so I am quite happy.
