    99% of these wheels suck.

I vote AC type 1 Race.

Or FM10's. (But I'm not biased at all really...)

ACS 3101A. I also like the CSLs and Work Equips. I used to really like the Style 5s and BBS RSs, but now that they're on every damn thing, I don't really care for them all that much anymore.

    Best OEM wheel:

    Staggered 18" Style 32s in E38 fitment... 8x18 ET20 front, 9x18 ET22 rear.

Then again, I might be a bit biased. But imo no OEM wheel fits the lines of the E36 better than the staggered 18" low offset Style 32s. I looks very classy yet very sporty and aggressive at the same time, imo.

17" all day. 18"s can look good (in any wheel), but the car sits to high IMO.

A nice roll, and some 245/35's with a nice round sidewall will be just about as perfect as a wheel and tire set up can be on an e36. This I promise you.
We did 18x8.5 front but looking back, we probably should have done the square setup. We threw on 12mm spacer on fronts with plenty of room just to push them out. I did read about someone doing the 18x9.5 front and there was a strut clearance issue with 245/35s so a 5mm spacer may still be needed.

We may throw a rear on the front to experiment with and if it works out, we'll likely go that route all around.

But seriously I'd say the best wheels for the e36 are keskin kt1s or rota p45s

Ive already addressed this issue, atleast I think I have. I just picked up a set of 6 inch linear springs for the front of my car, to go with my pss9's. This in theory should buy me the strut clearance I need to run 245's. This will allow me to move the spring perches up quite a bit, thus gaining more clearance.

I really am quite serious about picking up a set of these, you were my inspiration, and the fact that they weigh 18.85 pounds a pop. Just need to sell my BBS RSII and Forgeline RS first.

e30alpina, Im in the same boat as you. I went broke buying EVERYTHING I needed for my sunbelt engine, Im not gonna let myself spend anything else on this car until something else I have sell's.

I have to agree about the OEM M tech's as well, They look horrible now. Nice wheels but that black lip is ridiculous.

I dont think these are the BEST looking wheels out there but there at the top of the list.

Just about any BBS wheel looks good on these cars.

lots of nice wheels for the e36.

I like the BBS rs, in 17x8 and 17x9, which i have on my car,
but ive just picked up a set of e39 offset 18x9ET20 BBS LM (moving into the 21st century) which im pretty excited about. will have them on the car in a few weeks, wont need spacers as there is plenty of room for the big brembo's.

I tried the ACS type1 wheels that are on the e34 but they are no good for the big brakes and an 17x9 et6 with a 20mm spacer just dont fit at all.

    liking this thread.

dont mind the ccw wheels, like the bbs ch, and the oz mito's are pretty cool also
