I've been watching that one for months. Personally I think they're a little ambitious asking that much for it even though it seems to be in good shape.
As for the early gap in serial numbers, I'm not sure why that is, the gap isnt wide enough for the early ones to have been used as display at shows, etc. .. its only about a 1-2 week gap.

Update on 45444.
A crash left the car in non-driving condition. Damage is pretty extensive on the front and driver side and may have some frame damage. Engine, drivetrain, suspension, and interior are all fine. I've hung on to it in hopes of rebuilding it but I don't know when I'd have the means to do it.
looking for an m-tech 'project' Has to run and have all of the m-tech parts;;including the wheels.
thanks,
jm
hello my friends...i have a Ef45403 in good shape and still working like brand new!! i use the ds1 wheells and the interior have leather panels and seats!!! The rest is all original. Beatiful Alpine White !! The car was bought was an normal 325i...the pre-owner doesnt now he is a Mtech and sell at low price. Luck Me. Actually i work hard to find the original materials in the interior to turn original again(hurricane with black Alcantara). This car was imported to Brasil in 1996 and i just love him but here in my country we dont find original pieces to this car..very rare !!! Thanks for the great forum and this value informations and sorry for my bad english. See ya
I bought 45267 a couple years ago at a salvage auction. Its unfortunately wrecked front and a little rear. But i daily it no problem while im working on it. Just thought id give an update! Its got 154k on it
ref45470 is back at my house. Hoping to do a restore on this car and get it painted at the end of the summer...

If I can jump in on this conversation, I would appreciate it. I do not own a M-tech, but I do have a 94 325is. If I knew about the M-tech back then, I would have purchased it. What is the most anyone has paid for one? Also, did it only come in white? I have found one, but I think the price is too high.It has 140,000 miles on it. Had 3 owners. Whatr is the most you guys think they go for?
m-technic is 1994 only and only in white. Are you buying a 325is e36?
jm
Only came in Alpine white with a unique M cloth interior with Alcantara accents. It came from the factory with M3 mirrors, M-technic body kit, and Motorsport engraved door handles.
I've seen beat up and ratty ones with partial interiors sell for as little as $1000, while others in mint condition and low mileage (34k) sold for about $18k on BaT (https://bringatrailer.com/listing/19...25is-mtechnic/
Realistically speaking, it's not a highly desirable model, just rare. Finding one with a complete and clean interior seems to be the hardest part.
For the right one, I can't imagine myself paying more than $10k for one, and that would be perfect interior, and under 150k miles.. which I would actually consider high.
Remember, it really just is a 325i with a bunch of sport and M-tech stuff on it.. if you can live without the schnazzy interior, it would be much easier to convert a 325i with M3 bits.

Anyone have an M Tech they might consider selling? If so, please let me know.
I just pick up a M Technic with 23k mileages. 1 owner. Clean Carfax/interior/exterior.

I've been on the lookout for one of these. Swapped an interior from a wrecked one into my Avus M3 back 10 years ago.
If anyone has one that is relatively complete (I'm a sucker for that interior) please shoot me a note.
Was trying to work out a deal on the one in Scottsdale a few months ago but they were holding out for more than I was willing to spend.
