We have added one to our family; 45417.
197,000 miles, 90K on a '95 motor.
I get the impression that these get passed on just at the point the radiator is about to die. Add us to the list.
I'm going to try and be down there either the day before Thanksgiving, or the day after. Either way, I cant think of another way i'd rather be spending my Thanksgiving than replacing a radiator in an E36, and snickering at Katie for giving me so much crap when my radiator blew up.
Ryan,
I have conformation the parts have shipped, today.
Thank you.
Did you end up going with the IE unit?
They are no longer selling them, at this time.
Huh...thats too bad..they were half the cost of other companies..
Bought mine from my neighbor who was the original owner who purchased it in Oregon in '94. VIN#- 45396.
It's original except for the gear shift knob. The interior is in fantastic condition especially for the 330,000 mileage and runs like a top. Body is good. Just replaced the two front struts, radiator, battery and tires. It is for sale... first $2500 takes it. Located in Frederick, Maryland.
i picked mine up last august. 45289
what is the VIN of the first m-tech, if anybody knows?

I bought this car from this owner. The rear quarter panel had nearly an inch and a half thick of bondo on it and the car was rusting bad. It was also stored outside. The car was not loved. It had the wrong coolant (was green), the car ran OK at best. The rear struts are in bad condition. The water pump was never replaced (from the crack we saw... thank God I caught it now).
Here is my restoration thread on Bimmerfest.com: http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=700486
The car is coming along nicely. It is getting an S50B30 engine in it, and the OEM engine will be rebuilt. New transmission, new Diff. New axles. This car was not taken care of as it should be. Taking it to VOB was one of the things I was warned about, and I saw why. Those guys are absolute clowns, minus an IQ.
I will be posting a lot of pictures as the car gets restored. It won't make it to Bimmerfest this year, but will be there next year. Shift knob was changed from the El Cheapo Advanced Auto shifter to a ZHP knob.

I am amazed those seats and panels still look good after a third of a milly miles. Even beat up i think $2500 was fair.

PS.
Someone is selling a crisp set of original wheels for the M-tech on the for sale forum
http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum...ce-Wheels-PS2s
Stancing is for drivers trapped in an abusive relationship of their own lives.
Anyone else have the m-tech? I have one coming next week; will be trying to put it back together when it gets here

yup, I still have mine. @ 77k miles now, possibly(hopefully) getting a repaint this winter. There's a member on bimmerfest that's restoring one too. Post pics when you get it
Premier Detailing
1994 325is M-Technic
Just added 45401 to my garage, I have been maintaining this car from a customer of mine for the last 12 years. All original, unmolsted M Technic 325 IS. 251,000 miles, the car was garage kept. Also, one-owner car. Me being the second. Will post pictures later.
Ive sold mine after owning it for 7 years and DD.
What have i done to it?
Wheels: swapped for BBS 17s style 5s with Michelins (stock wheels went on e39 528i that i sold to Europe)
Suspension: Installed lowering Springs and replaced all 4 struts
Taillights: OEM clears
Headlights: Depo with low and high beam HID slim kits
Front turn signals: Clear
Front Grilles: black
Front bumper cover: replaced 2 times
Windows: 360 degree tint all the way around to save my interior from florida hot sun and UV
Intake: AA Intake with heat shield
Exhaust: Drove to Boca and bought ANSA e36 m3 that was a bolt on and loved the sound of it.
Front suspensiom: e36 M3 front upper shock tower mounts (offset center)
Racing Dynamics front strut brace
Steering wheel: Bought it in England for $590 including shipping to US (most people told me im crazy), arrived gorgeous, just a bit thicker than stock, with both : regular & perforated leather. and yes tri-color stitch... OMG i loved it...
Seat upgrades: i sourced this guy (he was doing detail jobs for living) who had original Alcantara front headrests for Vader seats, and i bought it (i think i paid like $200 for a pair) and WHAT a difference they made WOW!!!!!
SO after i sold the car - i handed the guy original front headrests and told him to install it in the back seat (like newer 96+ m3 had headrests in the back)
I sold the car after i got rear ended (wasn't much: trunk and right taillight was cracked) on i95 highway by a driver who didn't gave a crap about my car or his job.
The guy who bought it from me, drove all the way from Orlando to my house (4hrs) and drove it back and fixed it after (sent me 1 picture of rear fixed), last i remember car had approx 130k miles.
I MISS HER A LOT!

Sad news my son's car vin EF45430 was totaled by a drunk driver. My son walked away with a few bumps but is fine. The car was not so lucky. Question to you guys is the value of these cars? What shold we hit the insurance up for to cover the total loss?
REF45470 is now in Boise, ID....in the process of restoration

Hey guys, there is a set if RC041s for sale in Vacaville Ca. Talked to the guy and he will take $300 for them. I'd buy them but I no longer have my Mtech and I'm in dental school, so don't have the time to refurb them. Someone buy them! http://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/pts/4252707580.html
