    Cool 1994 325is M-Technic registry

OK, I know this topic has been beaten to death, but I'm trying here to find out who on this forum has a true M-Technic. Only 150 of these cars have been made, so it would be cool to find out where all the (still) existing cars are located. Eventually we can make a full on registry with VIN numbers etc, but for now finding out who has one on this forum is a good start.

For those of you that have one, you know who you are...
If you THINK you have one, you probably don't...

Again, this is only for the 1994 325is M-Technic.

Just add your name to the list, plus last 5 digits of VIN:

    M-Technic with S54

Just bought this on the weekend, have big plans for it.

PROMISE that I'll keep the engine on a pallet for future value, and NOT make any changes that can not be quickly reversed.

Safety may dictate a BBK, but otherwise, I intend to make it as stock as possible, and will actually be pulling the interior to refurbish the two seat blemishes in the alcantara and replacing the thinned out and ruined driver side seat pad...The door panels need work, will post images shortly.

    Still on ebay I think...

    and plan is as follows:

    One part:

    Plus a bit of this:

    Stage II will use this:

And Stage three will steal cams from this:

Course to run it all, I'll use the top half of this:

Beautiful...looks like yours is in as great condition as mine. That's the great thing about fabric/alcantara...it doesn't show wear and tear as bad as leather. But of course, a full blown leather interior is also magically nice when cleaned up.

Thompson REF45470. God bless her...shes beat to hell, but still real atleast. I'm trying to bring her back to life. Bilstien shocks, H&R Springs, powerflex Bushings and motor mounts, supersprint long tube headers, m3 cams, ltw wing, intake, HIDs, Etc. Oh well. Can't ask for too much more since I only gave 2k for her!
*1994 M-Technic that was 'blown up' but really outta gas - $2,000
*Fixing all the previous owners' shortcuts - $1,500
    *Performance mods - $2,000
*Owning one of 150 EVER made - PRICELESS
Some things money can buy. For everything else, theres BMW.

    1994 325IS MTechnic

Smile Probably one of or maybe the rarest 1994 325IS Mtech around...

Hey There fellow 1994 325IS Mtech owners,
As some of you have seen me post before, I acquired a '94 325IS Mtech less than a year ago. I think I registered the car with about 9,337 miles on it. Since then I'd put in about 2,000 miles. The car is pretty much all original except for the tires. The original owner had the car stored in the garage for 5+ years not even starting it. Hence, the tires having flat spots. No choice but to replace the original tires with only less than 10K miles on them . I had BMW replace all the fluids just to make sure. The car DOES NOT have any scratches or dents on it. The interior smells as if it just rolled out of the dealer.

    Is the "300" significant?

It means that your mtech is a Spartan.

I've got one that I picked up in January of this year. Not the original motor, not the original wheels but she's still in great condition and I love her to death. Trying to get her back to even better condition as money allows (curse you, grad school!)

Timothy Prewitt, 45394. Just bought mine today. Found it on Craigslist in LA and picked it up for $3K. Needs a bit of work and the previous owner swapped the original interior for the M3 Modena Interior and the original wheels for the M// wheels off the E46 330i

I am a used car manger at a Nissan dealer in Florida. A lady traded it in as a 325is. I did some research and found out what it was, and scooped it up for around $1500. Roughly 132k miles, all 4 wheels are there, the interior is unmolested(except someone switched out the shift knob). Just pulled the glove box last night to try and fix the face plate. I've posted pics on here before and will do so again.

sigh..mine will be up for sale

I have to build a fresh harness for it.

The S54 will remain, stock intake manifold, AC will work.

Sorry to see it go, will post on CL and Ebay soon.

condition is still excellent, roughly 100K miles on chassis, 30 on the S54.

Retains all factory parts other than the S54, gauge package and euro cluster.

    Radiator was upgraded of course.

Sad to see it go, but need a sedan, so, building an S54 E34 525 next that I can guiltlessly drive year round.

Original engine can be supplied with the car for collector status. Originally a Texas/CA car, ABSOLUTELY rust free everywhere, still no snow or salt. Been garaged at home, heated garage.

S54 is roughly 320 to the rears and runs very well with the DTA.

I have one. I bought it in Feb 96 with 19,250 miles on it. It now has 136,236 miles on it. I have only put about 10,000 miles on it in the last 10 years when it stopped being my daily driver. It still has the orginal wheels. I replaced the radio with a Alpine CDA-117 with iPod capability when the factory CD changer died. And I have also upgraded the speakers with Morel speakers which are all the orginal sizes and required no modification to the car to make them fit. The suspension is all orginal with new BMW struts and shocks that were replaced about 2500 miles ago. My current daily driver is a alpine white 01 BMW 330ci.

So just thought I would get your guys opinion. My M-tech is running high RPM at idle (About 1100) and in full throttle I can run it all the way up to 7,000 RPMs but at about 3000-4000 it feels a bit sluggish...I am not sure what kind of chip it came with stock, thought I would ask you guys, see what you guys know. Thanks

I'm pretty sure it is not the ICV since my idle is not erotic just steady at 1100 RPM.For those of you who are interested this is my M-technic. It still needs a bit of work but it is coming along If any of you are just dying to have the Modena interior I will trade you mine plus cash for your original M-technic interior
